Without doubt she sees them as potential foot in the door to more fame and cash. It's obvious.

Ticket to Hollywood no, but a ticket to some sort of work in the US... probably. They aren't one / even if they were, no one out there would want her for anything BUT I do think she had that in mind nonetheless.

I was just using Hollywood as a byword for the American entertainment industry. Of course I wasn't thinking of her being in the next Star Wars.

It could be that she perceives Speidi as being more popular than they really are, here in Britain and hoped to cling on to their coat tails because of that.? They did come second on their last CBB and Nicola, not being the sharpest knife in the drawer could equate that with popularity I suppose.
