Do you understand why they cry about letters from home?
This is one of the tasks.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wssDdsiGShI https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gJq1QZ9UQNc https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Odb7QFQ8H0Y I mean it's been 22 days (half that time for Kim and Jessica). If it was a year, I'd understand. I've been that long without speaking to people I know and didn't cry when I spoke to them. Is it something about the big brother house? Is it just to evoke sympathy? I never understood it. Colleen and Speidi aren't crying. |
I think emotions run high and they miss people they can rely on and trust,I can understand in a small way.

I'd probably be missing my kids alot after 3 weeks but I wouldn't be an emotional wreck like they get
|
I would probably fill up a bit if I hadn't seen my kids for 3 weeks and I got a video. Videos from partners and friends though, nope.
|
Jamie is crying about a call from his dad and it looks forced.
|
I think some put it on for sympathy tbh
I still remember Richards letter from home years ago...still makes me fill up a little thinking of it :( |
A few years ago I would say no, but nowadays I can understand it.
It's a pressure cooker with strangers, the only people you can have interaction with, you can't escape those who you can't stand, you're going from one room to another, you don't know what's going outside (and this show definitely makes you question), emotions are running high, every day feels like forever. Yes, they chose to be there and they can chose to go, but even if they do it - getting emotional is still quite valid imo. I didn't do BB but I've done something similar, so I can relate to this feeling. |

Blocked for me but it might not be for you  Basically it came out that his mother was seriously ill and it was just so emotional..he hadn't mentioned it at all throughout his time in the house so it was kind of a shock |
I'd be in there to get away from people on the outside, I see them all the time, and three weeks without them is a welcome break.
If I received a letter, I'd give it back to Big brother and ask him to tell my friends and family to sod-off. I'd be a great housemate |

Aside from HMs that are parents, I always find the reactions to letters in CBB to be a bit forced.
I understand it more when it comes to Civ BB though since it's a lot longer. |

Tbf, 3 weeks probably feels like years in there.

When I was young & single I wouldn't have understood it at all. I regularly didn't see / communicate with family for 6+ months at a time :joker:.
Now that I have a wife & kids, not going to lie, I would absolutely bawl like a li'l bitch  :bawling:. Even without kids tbh. I'm soft as ****. I miss my wife if one of us is away for more than 24 hours. Heh. |
To be fair...Any letter from someone close paying you compliments and telling you how much they love you stirs up emotions. My son once bought a letter home from school telling me how much he loved me and the tears flowed and I only dropped him off to school 6 hours earlier...(although I am a naturally emotional person always in floods after Black Beaury or Little House On the Prairie).
I can understand it...I'm usually in floods with them if I'm honest. |

I understand it more in usual BB which is longer certainly.
CBB less so, as celebrities they must have been away from family and friends for longer periods than 3/4 weeks, most of them anyway. They know also their family and friends are watching them on BB too. Having said all that, being in that house must really be a lot of the time, emotionally draining. |
