Exactly, and in most places you have barely a 30 second walk to find the next nearest machine. People will just stop using them . I can't remember the last time I used a machine that had a charge.

I used to do a bit of consultancy work for Cashzone and Dc Payments, and the amount of money they earn from the banks per transaction is ridiculous high, and then they want to take money off us also :bored:

inside some Shopping Halls
small units ask for a charge of £2
to take money out.

Parliament said they should
not do this for the poor folks.
Link is claiming it costs them
maybe say charge for a print out?
would that be better?
Strange as every print out has a Mega Ad on it
I hope its in the next PMQ's
something like
"can the Prime Minster STOP
Link cash machines from charging for their use."

Parliament is saying in some zones
people with not much money only have a Link machine
near them.

[Andrew Tyrie, the Conservative MP who chairs the Treasury select committee, warned the banks, building societies and independent providers that it was ready to investigate. “Widespread charging would be of considerable concern, particularly in rural areas and poorer urban neighbourhoods,” he said.]

“Link now have an opportunity
to sort it out. If they don’t,
the Treasury committee will
almost certainly need to investigate
