Jedward vs The Entire House: Who was right?
Were Jedward right to retaliate against people's intolerance? Are the others right that the two are very irrational, defensive, hypersensitive and don't listen enough? Are they all wrong?

It's quite complex I think.
On the one hand they are deliberately trying to antagonise people like Nicola, and I do agree that they've been over defensive to people's nominations of them. Plus I can definitely see how some of their behaviour (such as making a mess in the store room) would be annoying as a housemate if you were living with them. It's worth pointing out that all of this makes them great housemates however. That all said though, I do think some of the other housemates are guilty of taking them a tad too seriously and overreacting (see: Nicola with the pizza boxes), as well as criticising them for things they're doing themselves (see: Calum during the nominations). And whether or not the criticism is justified, I think most people who were constantly being derided by everyone you're living with would at some point get a bit fed up and speak out. Basically, they are annoying and defensive but it's easy to understand why they're fed up with being labelled as such. I do believe that Calum wants to like them, it's just that he's a hypocritical bore wrapped up in his own double standards. And Nicola in justified in criticising them on occasion, but not always. |
The house (even though it was only like, 2 people and James C with the random sentence) were definitely in the right, the one that started mouthing off is a drama queen of the highest level and the people that confronted them did so as a reaction to their behaviour, the pair of them are honestly becoming such a chore to watch, they made Kim seem rational in that episode.

John of Jedward fought back and good for him doing so.
He was not nasty or intimidating, the rest that did, not all,who got involved were the ones wrong for joining in. No one else. |
So Jedward can team up and attack people because there's two of them, but no-one else is allowed to back their friends up when they see that they're in the right?

Nicole is a bitch and a bully and she is enabled by her cronies. They are all too full of their own self importance to realise they are projecting on to Jedward. Calum had one nomination and had a complete meltdown. Let's see him try it every nominations like Jedward have. And then let them wander over to him and patronise the way he does them. I like you but it had to be done. It's not personal. How would Calum cope with it all I wonder? The way he was throwing back the wine, not very well. |

Time and again we have heard the housemates say how hard it gets to nominate in the latter weeks. The originals all made a pact to have 5 of them left at the end. Knowing this i think that is why jedward wanted explanations on the nomination reasons because nobody apart from nicola has mentioned this to them..coleen happily played dry hump a granny with them, callum has laughed and joked and had some good conversations with them. So why shouldn't they ask outright wtf is going on? It would be pretty dull if they sat back and did nothing..at least they have been honest with thier nominations and not been sheep like the rest of the house..bar kim. |
