I'm too young to have a credit card! But I have a card for my bank account!

I havent got any credit cards i want a debit card though

I've got some card from HSBC but I don't have a clue what it is lol, never used it cos I don't have any money in my bank lol.

They are useful for buying online stuff. This TK Maxx hacking story is a bit scary though...

I have one. I'd advise the younger members of the forum to get one eventually; it's very difficult to go abroad without a credit card.

That TK-Max story cracked me up. I bet the authorities knew about this a while ago and failed to investigate it properly.

I'm the same Soph, I've just got one for my bank account. But I think I will end up getting a credit card eventually.

A credit card will give you protection when buying on line. If your goods never turn up and the company won't play ball, or if the company goes but, you can claim from your card issuer. If you pay via debit card you are screwed with no comeback. You will never see your money again.

I have a credit card for the same reasons as Girth and Dr43%. They are so handy to have when travelling abroad, if you have a medical emergency yes your insurance will usually cover the cost but you still have the excess and sometimes for small injuries you have to pay and claim back which can often be 100's of pounds.

yeah i know thats where i got the idea for this thread
