Rufus Hound claims Kim argument made him quit Celebrity Juice

Hound said that the row came during a time when he was deeply frustrated with the production team, and with how he felt his role had become increasingly marginalised.

One of the final straws was the Woodburn incident...

"I had a fight with one of the guests in the series before I left," Hound said. "It was Kim Woodburn.

"She was chatting away to Keith [Lemon] and he said, 'Have you got much coming up?', and she said, 'I don't think the people who make TV would want me anymore'. And I said, genuinely, honestly, 'Don't do yourself down. People will always need a cleaner'.

"Now bear in mind, that's what she's famous for. If I had said that to Jude Law, fair enough. That's an insult. She's a cleaner!

"She looked at me and said something on the lines of, 'When I want an opinion of a fat man, I'll stand outside Gregg's'. It was a proper ****** you, an old-fashioned ****** you, and I just sort of laughed to myself that here she was having a dig because I genuinely hadn't meant it as an insult. It really ******ing spiralled out of control."

"It ended up really horrible," he said. "She was trying to be deliberately personal, and by the point it got to that place, I was like, 'Okay, because I'm a stand-up comedian and if you want to start heckling, I'm good at this'. And so I was personal back.

"She basically kept saying I was fat. But I did end up saying, 'That's a bit rich coming from a woman who looks like a face drawn on a deflating party balloon'."

Hound explained that after the filming, Woodburn refused to leave the building until she received an apology, and the producers tried to convince him to speak to her. He was reluctant to, at first.

"She started with the personal stuff," he said. "[I told the producers], 'Why are you insisting I go and apologise to her? You should say, sorry, it didn't work out, but it won't be in the final edit' - and it was not. If you watch it back, we get on famously.

"But they made me go and apologise, and I was like, 'I will do it because you're my friends. Here's one thing, though, right? If I do it, you have to give me a copy of the tape. I know it will never go out. It will never be seen. I will sign whatever it is you need me to sign that says I will never put it on YouTube and I will never show it to people, but I'm sure she started that - by being horrible. I want to be able to watch it back, because I want to know for my own peace of mind what happened is how I remember it happened'.

"They said, 'Absolutely'. So I was like, okay."

Fat shaming is okay as long as it's being done by someone people like, didn't you know?

An argument with Kim Woodburn made him quit Celebrity Juice? :joker:

I'd definitely argue that they got rid of him because he was a tired concept. I don't even dislike Rufus but let's be real, lmao.

Are you saying being a cleaner is demeaning? Kim obviously thinks so, if it bothers her so much she should have found another job.

Katie Hopkins got shamed constantly on here for doing it, but as soon as some 'wacky' old lady does it, it's suddenly hysterical.

As I said where was all this faux outrage when McCirrick did it to Coleen ? Is it one rule for Kim and another for others

....and someone who didn't insult and row with Jedward... I wonder how many of their supporters would have thought she was so wonderful then...:hehe:

Don't accuse me of 'faux outrage' please and tah, I don't like anybody fat shaming and it was just as bad when John did it to Coleen, nobody should be mocked for their weight or how they look in general, happy?

Go find where anyone in this thread said it was funny when he called her fat. I found the smoking jibe funny but the fat comment was cruel. As cruel as Kim calling Rufus fat.

No he didn't say that's all she could do. You've invented that.

People have short memories, the hypocrisy in here is tangible, there was nothing ,no outrage when McCirrick did it,go take a look, the only people who complained were people who liked Coleen, others thought it was ok, I am always happy thanks:hee:
