Anyway, I find it rather creepy how this message starts about 'trans kids'. Infact a hell of a lot of 'late transitioners' seem a little obsessed with 'trans kids'. The push for giving prepubescent children cancer drugs as puberty blockers is just crazy and wrong. The kids' parents are told the drugs are harmless and completely reversible which is a LIE. We do not know the effects of long term hormone use yet (until the recent young transitioners grow up and start feeling the effects, though I do know long term testosterone makes one susceptible to heart attacks), but we do know the effects of puberty blockers.

Besides this, I can't take Jenner seriously tbh, given she reckons the hardest part of being a woman is chosing what clothes to wear and also retains her membership to her all male golf club...so retaining the privileges of being a male.

Good luck to her though I guess. This video will get her some publicity. I actually thought her and trump were pretty close, but I guess he can't make laws based on one friend...

Transgender republican, well there's an oxymoron.

She has every need to be worried for her rights, but I can't help but feel disdain towards Caitlyn for using her celebrity status/platform to endorse Republican motives. There is an endless number of vulnerable LGBTQ+ individuals out there, and their safety is in jeopardy far more than hers. She has every right to an opinion, but even with politics aside, I don't want to hear what she has say now.

To put Caitliyn and her "representation" of the LGBT community in perspective:

Yeah I'm in two minds about her, I don't actually think she's the best role model for trans people but then again they really don't have many role models out there so any support is still beneficial I suppose.

I personally think there are a lot more role models for trans people than presumed. It's just that none are as prevalent in the media as Caitlin.

It only took thousands on people demanding something out of her on social media for months for her to finally speak out

She doesn't deserve any praise it all feels so forced and if she really cared about trans rights she would'nt have voted that way she did

Queer. You know, the word used to insult gay people for as far back as I can remember...apparently it is appropriate to tag that slur on the end of LGBT these days. Something else a few of my gay mates are up in arms about :umm2:

But 'G' is already in there so why add the 'Q'? and the '+'?

I like the 'Q' :hee: I get why older gays might have a problem with it but I don't consider it a slur personally or wouldn't really be taken aback if someone called me queer, any more than if someone called me gay

Queer basically means you do not conform to gender stereotypes. You could be a bit feminine but have masculine interests, etc and this makes you queer(honestly, I think this covers 99.9% of the population...I find it hard to believe anyone is 'pure' feminine or 'pure' masculine). Its not used to describe gay people anymore, in this context anyway

To my understanding anyway. Technically, I am 'queer' as I think all gender stuff is absolute bollocks.
