Russia gives Beauty and Beast 16+ rating due to 'gay moment'
 

[The new version of the fairytale
has been judged unsuitable for children,
with some Russian critics calling
it 'perverted'.
Ultra-conservative lawmakers
previously tried to ban the film,
citing the controversial Russian law
that makes it illegal to disseminate
"gay propaganda" to minors.
The film had previously been
announced as 6+ in its Russian
promotional campaign.
In a letter to the Russian
culture minister, anti-gay politician
Vitaly Milonov called the Disney film
"blatant, shameless propaganda

Its mad! It doesnt really make sense how backwards the are regarding homosexuality - all their neighbouring countries are fine with it, and their education levels are really high on a global scale. Putin needs to go. Theyre just living in the same rut as they were when he started.

Yeah definitely. Also, events like the World Cup being held there is disgraceful, they shouldn't be allowed host it, their football is rife with racism and their fans were one of the only countries to cause so much trouble at the Euros last year

It is just not needing in this film if they want to do LGBT stuff make a new film.

It is just a 2 second kiss in a 2 hour film

So basically, if a movie wants to be inclusive about LGBT characters, they should make a big deal out of it because gay people can't just exist naturally alongside a story that isn't centered around their sexuality. Got it.

I dont get why everyone is fan girling Disney doing it either as they are like a decade late to the party
