How much has your Council tax risen?

Ours has gone up by 5.5 per cent, 150.00 extra a year, 62.00 of that for social care which I agree with, not the rest though :idc:

Firewire 13-03-2017 04:37 PM

3%

Shaun 13-03-2017 05:40 PM

4.5% - about £55.

smudgie 13-03-2017 05:55 PM

Not a clue.
I think the yearly bill is due soon.

Denver 13-03-2017 05:59 PM

I dont know my dad pays it all so i dont ask

smudgie 13-03-2017 06:12 PM

4.9% plus whatever the parish council adds.

ebandit 13-03-2017 06:20 PM

No change here. I have no idea why. Not that I want to pay more but the council is flat ****ing broke and it's really starting to show... I'd have accepted a 5% increase if it was actually being spent in meaningful ways.

jaxie 15-03-2017 12:18 PM

3.99% apparently.

Kizzy 15-03-2017 01:38 PM

4.99% for Leeds.

Livia 15-03-2017 01:43 PM

3.3% rise. First time for eight years my Tory council has raised council tax.

Yeah same here although mine is labour in some ways I think it would be better to give a small rise every year rather than hitting people with such huge increases in one hit. I can't remember the last time I got a 5.5 per cent payrise

LOL... I bet you thought it'd always be like that.

Kizzy 15-03-2017 02:36 PM

Yep you'll only see rises like that again if you're a banker ...or an MP.
