Agree with both of the top posts and a hat-tip to Toy Soldier for an excellent response to a rather provocative comment.
Before the original poster pats himself on the back too hard, I would encourage him to look into the legal age of marriage laws in the USA. He will find that in some states it is a low as 13 (New Hampshire, for example) - with the consent of the court. Which is what the case in this thread had - the consent of the court. Of course, that doesn't mean I agree with it, I just wanted to point out that the USA is not in a position to finger-point.
