To be balanced though Truth, the guy heading the meeting was laughing too. You also need to admit that men themselves alot of times are more responsible for ridiculing other men and keeping those stereotypes going. You can't just lay all the blame at the feet of women

what a sexist comment...they did actually create the modern world, you things like aeroplanes, cars, roads, buildings, tv's , phones, ships, bridges, tunnels, water supplies, produced electricity, the vast majority of medicines, gave us the worlds greatest writers and poets and song writers and painters and artists etc etc ....oh and they save our lives, put out fires, perform life saving operations, fought the nazis ...you know little things like that etc etc etc

But we're not discussing that, we're discussing the video you posted. Why only blame the woman and not give a portion of blame to the man heading the meeting, who by all accounts should be being most professional since he's supposed to be in charge of the meeting?

We are discussing that and this thread is specifically about her appalling behaviour which is way more disrespectful and sexist than any other behaviour in this meeting. why are you deflecting from criticizing her appalling behaviour , is it because shes a woman and you wish to deflect to a man?

I thought that Philip bloke brought up excellent points, and I think a day dedicated to male issues should exist in parliament, why not? But I dont think the behaviour from any person in the room was out of the norm, making an entire thread to suggest otherwise (and to target just one of the people in the vid, despite them acting very similarly to those around her) is a bit mindless, and, imo, sexist of you.

The argument for an International Men's Day is a tone deaf one that completely misses the point. It's like arguing for White History Month to be a thing.

If he was so serious he would have ensured he had support to take his proposal forward...He did not do this.

Look at his record, the man does nothing but fillibuster important issues concerning both men and women out of debates in parliament. He is firmly against gay marriage which is a male equality issue, basically he is only for the rights of SOME men which is pointless.

Stop feeling sorry for yourself, we are not a minority, the international womens day, alike the black history day is to celebrate the obstacles overcome, we have had zero historical oppression, everyday is a mans day. The international womens day is to celebrate the history and the overcoming of obstacles and to appreciate people who were once not appreciated - there is zero purpose for that for a mens. As someone said it'd be like having a White History day here.

sexist nonsense....male suicides are nearly 5 times higher than females in every country on earth...men die 5 years younger in every country on earth.....men lose their homes, children, half their life time wealth in over 80% of divorces...mens health gets billions less spent on it and theres 1000s more organizations, charities and support agencies to help women....women on average have far more spending power too
