which butterfly varieties do ya see your way?
 

i love seeing different butterflies on my rambles.....

today spotted 2 types for 1st time this year...peacock...speckled wood
so was thinking 'what other varieties do i see?'

made a list starting with those i see the most frequently

meadow brown
small tortoiseshell
large white
speckled wood
peacock
red admiral
small white
orange tip
comma
common blue
brown angus
small copper

that's quite a few but not nearly as many flutter across the uk

which types do you see?

.............read that those awful nettles that i despise so much destroying wherever

possible..............are important in the eco system providing food for caterpillars

today strolling through wor parks to aldi...spotted my 1st orange tip

....one of my very fave varieties

.....then saw a small white....cheering me up on my mundane quest...
