A question

So, imagine in an ideal world C5 gives up on BB. The format is rested for a couple of years and Channel 4 brings it back as a revival.... but would you want Channel 4 to acknowledge the C5 series or rather them act like we're picking up where we left off after UBB?

Only the good bits and especially Deana!

Some of the best BB moments have come from C5 era so it'd be awful to forget it existed. BB13, BB14, BB17 plus most of the CBB's have been brilliant. A lot better than anything C4 served us post 2006.

Jamie89 19-04-2017 11:00 AM

I think they should acknowledge the last few series, it'd be a bit of a disservice to the fans and the producers (as much as we criticise them  )/presenters/contestants who kept the show alive in the meantime. (Although personally I'd like to forget that BB16 ever happened.)

Even 16 gave us things like THE Charley Uchea returning to BB and the Big Brother legends feud so it wasn't a complete waste.

in terms of UBB2/allstars? C5 had some good housemates worth bringing back. I think C4 will be OK with the celebs, I'm not sure about the C5 civ hms.
But I think, with a few years without BB and as a 2nd reboot, whoever brings it back will try to do it tabula rasa.

Oh yeah, and John McCririck. I forget there was some decent moments in amongst all the ****

maybe do a total reboot and call it BB2.1/BB2.2 etc :hee:

i don't think C4 would even want it back

Cal. 19-04-2017 11:11 AM

For civilians I don't think C4 would bother with any C5's since literally majority of the true 'All Stars' come from the C4 era but for celebrities I'd like to see a cast with the majority of them from C5 since they have the better ones.

This also.

I think unfortunately once C5 are done with it any other channel would either not be interested in it due to its image and viewership or they wouldn't be able to afford it anyway.

it said in an ideal world at the start and this is purely just what if

Well it's sort of what C5 did to the C4 BB era, they only really acknowledged it with returnees coming in BB16 and obviously BBBOTS.

Acknowledge them because it's still part of the shows history in the UK.

acknowledge it because it's been better than most of c4's final seasons which were often very boring
