Speaking to Hunger magazine about her new single, Vanessa confirmed that she would not be returning to the group. "I don't think I could go back," Vanessa explained. "I've got so much that I want to do. There's no space mentally for me to go back. "As time goes on, I know it just wouldn't feel right for me." Her Saturdays bandmate, Frankie Bridge, has said the girls would be heading back to the studio to make music in 2016 but that hasn't been the case. Frankie later said that she music wasn't exciting for her anymore. Meanwhile, Vanessa has been working on her own music which delivers a more R&B sound that she says suits her far better than The Saturdays pop offering. "I came from a girlband which was very much pop and very different to this, but I've always been such an R&B fan," White explained. "So I guess for me, it wasn't even necessarily the music, I wanted to say what I couldn't before. I was like, '****** this, I am such a sexual person anyway'."
