From the worst to the best.

Freakshow - Boring and uninteresting.

Coven - Good characters but everything else is a mess.

Hotel - A complete mess but it held my attention more than FS and Coven

Roanoke - It revived my interest in the show, the format and the plot were refreshing and I liked the return to actual horror rather than the camp comedy horror feel that had taken over the series since Coven. Ghosts are overused in AHS but I really liked Roanoke's take on them. This season is criminally underrated.

Asylum - It gets better with every episode and has probably the best ending of any AHS season but it's let down by a slow start. It's also got one of the strongest cast of characters.

Murder House - It's consistently good throughout and there's not much in the way of weak links aside from the stumble that was the final episode.

I'd have said Asylum but the dumb aliens plot ruins it but I was hooked on Bloody Face and the Nazi stuff.

Murder House had me gripped throughout and the Violet twist is brilliant. Also the smaller cast allows for better character development.

Murder House > Asylum > Coven > Roanok > Freak Show > Hotel

I've only watched the first three and enjoyed them all but the only one I'd think I'd ever re-watch is Coven.

I'm far as episode 3 in Hotel. Asylum beats all of them easily. Just a treat from start to finish.

Coven is the only one I've watched in full, but I loved it.

Cult is frigging dire.
