Postcode districts
Where I live has always baffled me because of this,
We have a postcode which is for a district in the borough... But we are part of another ward/district in the borough.... And then we're part of a different constitution which we don't even live in. It literally makes no sense. The postcode we live in should be our ward and constitution because that's where all our local shops are and if you asked anyone they would say we lived there, geographically it all makes no sense. :joker: |
Although the local PM is trying to change all of it, David Burrows wants to move our ward into the correct constituency and stop this huge proposed constituency which is planned.

This is for London btw.

You have the postcode allocated to the area at the time they were distributed.
Boundaries etc change, even counties, but you keep the same postcode for the area. Parts of Yorkshire have Teesside, Cumbrian and even Lancs postcodes. As long as the postie knows where it is we need not worry:joker: |

The postcode makes sense, but our ward and consistory makes no sense, hence why it's trying to be changed. |
Like our nearest station is 0.2 miles but the wards station we're in is 2 miles away which is a lot for London.
