G4 have announced they are to split up. In a shock announcement this morning on GM:TV, the four-strong group, who specialise in operatic versions of pop songs, revealed their plans to dissolve at the end of the summer.

In a statement on their official website, the group noted: "We appreciate that this morning’s news that we are splitting up at the end of the summer this will have come as a shock. The decision that we have come to has taken a long time and is certainly not a decision that we have taken lightly and is a group decision, nothing to do with the either the record label or management.

"Despite what the papers say, we are all still friends and will be continuing together in the band until the end of the summer. We want to say a huge thank you to all of you for all the support you have given us over the past 3 years, as without you, we certainly wouldn’t be where we are today.

"We are so excited about the summer tour as it’s our final chance to perform for you, the fans, and as it’s our farewell tour, it will certainly have some extra magic. We will write again soon to confirm the extra summer shows, but for moment, loads of love from us all and we look forward to seeing you some time soon.

Wasn't really a fan of them so won't miss them really. There comes a time when everyone must just want to go back to their normal ways either that or they are sick of each other lol.

i did'nt think that they would spilt up but good luck to them in the future.

i dident even know they were still around i wasent a fan anyway they seemed a bit stuck up :hugesmile:

But their rendition of Queen's Bohemian Rhapsody was Okay.

But it has worn a bit thin now.

G4 are yesterdays news now. How quickly fame changes to failure.
