I want this series to have the old Channel 4 type vibe, more relaxed and less psycho. The last few years has been like watching a bunch of mentalists.

yeah no full on murder, i would never condone that, but maybe someone could push someone down the stairs or smother someone with a pillow whilst they try and sleep before being restrained.

No chance, I think channel five have an agenda, more semi famous wanna bees taking it closer to the celeb show and further away from the civilian show.

We will be left with just the celeb show.

This would be great, it really would. But let's be realistic and say we don't get average joes in there.. it's not such a bad thing! These people can only keep up their acts for so long. Underneath it all they're all just normal people with the same **** going on, the same insecurities. No matter how famous they think they are. No matter how many Twitter followers hey have. The real person always comes out.

Bear is a ****ing anomaly.

Normal people aren't boring, it's all down to the casting. You need to find the 'right' normal people. Ones with character. We all know someone who is completely nuts and so fun to be around - that's what it needs.

The problem with the housemates they put in currently is that they are too 'media trained' and know exactly what to do to generate a reaction.

I was speaking to someone who works on the show who mentioned that there was a big argument and then 5 minutes after, they're laughing and joking and saying 'I bet hat makes good tv'. I don't see the point in watching fake arguments / drama. If I want that I could just watch a soap.

Big brother should be normal people who are cast correctly. They may not argue every minute but at least when they do you know it's REAL and that there are real feelings involved and sometimes those housemates may take a while to make up.

At the minute it feels like it's almost scripted.

Ok, so let's watch fake arguments and romances then, as long as it makes quick good telly with no actual meaning behind any of it. There are plenty of shows that already do that and in fact where most recent housemates have come from or being rejected from like: 'The Only away Is Essex, Made In Chelsea' et al.

At least with Big Brother, what you're supposed to be seeing is REAL and with the right casting it can be achieved! C5 just plow wannabes with set storyline agendas alcohol every night and hope for a few arguments - it's lost all meaning!

c4 Crazies were more authentic, c5 "crazies" are forced and doing it for TV time.

That's my point exactly! C4 crazies appeared to be normal people who had character e.g. People who lived normal lives with normal jobs until they appeared on Big Brother. They were down to great casting!

C5 crazies mostly have agents who have been steered in to going in to big brother as a 'crazy' housemate.

Normal is fine as long as they're interesting.

The one thing I want to see again on BB is a good old fashioned villain that isn't cartoonishly evil, but had really bad traits for the game and could sometimes even be misunderstood and ended up doing something villainous like Charley Uchea or Freddie in the second half of BB10.

I don't know if I'm making sense to anybody else, but people like Conor and looking back on it even Helen was a step too far in the wrong direction (although Helen could be amusing) I do think that the best villain in recent BB's has been Chelsea as he seemed like he had his decent points about him that made him feel Human, but he also liked to play the game in a more sneaky way that's classed as villainy on BB.

I bet the housemates will be recruited from 'talent agencies' like the have done for years now.

The only way you get normal people is to hold open regional auditions, which I don't think they do any more.

I agree with what some people are saying is if they cast the right people then its great. I don't even mind some people with a little bit of media spotlight . What I don't want is people like Helen or people like last season who are only famous for sleeping around or for doing nothing. The days of `normal` BB is long gone and now im just happy to have the normal BB as less fame savvy as I can and have CBB for that.
