Does it ever lead to truely classic housemates..?

It use to be a craze on CH4 they would bring in loads of newbies but CH5 got rid of it till about 2 years ago and its been a feature ever since

BB17 didn't have any unless you count The Others.

It can produce classic housemates. Jackie Stallone, Kinga, Aisleyne, Bea, Pricey, Janice Dickinson and Kim Woodburn are all popular and could be regarded as 'classics.

Hope so. The right housemates can completely change the dynamic and it makes it more interesting

The only series that really benefited from having multiple latecomers is BB10. Every other year, they were pointless and would just end up being targeted by the originals for not being there since Day 1.
