I understand Raph is from the forums but I really haven't seen anything on the show that would make me care if he left. He isn't really adding much. Are people liking him solely based on the fact he posts here?

I think what they've shown of him so far has been decent.

I can't speak for anyone else but yeah for me it's because I've known him on the forum for years so why wouldn't I back him?

Plus Raph has come across very nice and pleasant so far. Only his VT people don't agree with, but people lie all the time to seem controversial.
