Is the Earth round or flat?

What's your thoughts on the matter

Oliver_W 09-06-2017 08:58 PM

It's clearly flat, with a fence of ice around it. The font of all wisdom Imran said so.

Round obviously

How do Australians walk upside down then?

MB. 09-06-2017 09:03 PM

Let us introduce Adam to a little concept known as gravity

Denver 09-06-2017 09:04 PM

I admire the use of the word rather as an example of understatement

Good god... The Suckys are a great example of just enough information to be dangerous and why you shouldn't listen to anyone based on the strength of them watching a few youtube vids.

BTW, Emma, Arthur was challenging the contents of their views, not their right to a view. It isn't the same thing. Just because someone has an opinion, it doesn't make that opinion bulletproof or valid.

Northern Monkey 10-06-2017 09:39 AM

For sure. We don't need folks feeding the idea that an opinion is valid just because it's an opinion, no matter how uneducated.

It really irritates me when people say, "Well, it's my opinion" as the sole defense of what they say :nono::nono: Yes, we know it's an opinion, we are just saying it's a bull**** one :laugh:

If Suki says it's flat then it's flat

Jessica. 10-06-2017 12:35 PM

People who believe in flat earth have some serious problems with feeling like they have lack of control and they use flat earth as a way of controlling something that makes them different. It's really sad that people still believe stuff like that in this amazing era of science and information.

Ant. 10-06-2017 01:36 PM

I've never seen a picture of the world being round so

Cal. 10-06-2017 01:40 PM

If the Earth was flat then we'd be able to see every country surely?

The way light refracts off the ice cliffs that border Earth creates the illusion that the countries aren't there, even though they are. NASA just made up some bull**** that the Earth's round because no one would understand the real reason
