A vehicle has driven through a number of people.

Police have arrested one person, the injured are being attended at the scene, reports are sketchy but it is being stated that a van drove into about 10 people.

[A number of casualties are being treated at the scene after reports that a vehicle was involved in a collision in north London.

The Metropolitan Police say they are dealing with a "major incident" as a result of the collision in Seven Sisters Road, Finsbury Park.

The incident is described as being close to Finsbury Park station and mosque.

London Ambulance Service say they have sent a "number of resources" to the scene.

Pictures on social media of the scene suggest it occurred at the entrance to Whadcoat Street.]

Omg this is happening far too often, my heart sunk.

Could have been targeting Muslims?

There is absolutely no justification for this, whoever has done it.

This is horrible, especially targeting peaceful Muslims after their prayers in the holy month of Ramadan. I just don't understand this at all. We need to stop hurting each other, I hope he didn't do as much damage as it sounds.

I expected it was some Right Wing nutter as soon as I saw the mosque mentioned. Another terrorist in a similar vein to Jo Cox's murderer, it seems.

I'm just thankful that it seems like, at the moment, that he has completely failed at killing anyone.

It's horrifying. It's like a floodgate has been opened on this kind of incident now with vehicles used as weapons.

A 'revenge ' attack apparently, van driven into a mosque area where people had been praying,playing right into Isis's hands

A man has died and 10 people have been injured after a van ploughed into pedestrians near a north London mosque.
The van mounted the pavement and struck a group of people just after midnight BST near Finsbury Park Mosque in Seven Sisters Road. A 48-year-old man has been arrested.
Prime Minister Theresa May said police were treating it "as a potential terrorist attack".
Eyewitness Abdul Rahman said the driver said he wanted to "kill all Muslims".
Mr Rahman told the BBC he struck the man and helped subdue him.
"When the guy came out from his van he wanted to escape, run away and he was saying 'I want to kill Muslims. 'I want to kill Muslims.'
"I hit him on his stomach... and then me and the other guys... we held him to the ground until he couldn't move. We stopped him until the police came."
Counter-terrorism officers are at the scene, the Metropolitan Police said.
The Muslim Council of Britain said a van intentionally ran over worshippers.
