The BBC is to host a ballroom dance competition in the spirit of the Eurovision Song Contest.

Proffesional and ameteur dancers will represent 13 countries, with the winner decided by the viewers' vote.

The Eurovison Dance Contest follows the success of Strictly Come Dancing, which has been sold around the world.

The two-hour show, to be broadcasted from London this autumn, will see each couple perform two dances, with the second having a "national flavour".

I was talking to my mate from school last week and she said something about her dance group auditioning for a chance to represent Ireland in a european dance comp. I wonder if it's this.
