Half blood.prince for.me

The best films are the first two, they captured the "magic" in ways the rest didn't.

The best written books are Goblet of Fire and Half Blood Prince.

And honorable mention to the Deathly Hallows films - simply for being OK films when the book was a horrible mess. Though I put that down to the fact that I think she was writing the book with the movie in mind, by that point, so the book read like a confusing screenplay but translated easily to movie form.

Prisoner Of Azkaban for both

Ew it's the worst of the films.

King Gizzard 20-06-2017 09:11 PM

Harry Potter and the smug badger

Braden 20-06-2017 09:11 PM

I'd say the best film is GoF, definitely. The books are a lot harder to judge because I thought they were all excellent, especially from 4-7.

Best book - Goblet of fire

Worse Book - Cant remember the title, but in one of the middle books Rowling changed her writing style to be more 'youth and urban'. It didnt work. Can anyone remind which one that was?

Best film - Deathly Hallow - Agree with TS the books were difficult to follow but the films were fantastic.

Worse film - One of the the mid to late ones, so either Half blood Prince or Order of the Phoenix.

Can't choose a book but POA is best film or it just seems it because the first two were bad

Best Film: I love Philosopher's Stone, Prisoner of Azkaban and Order of the Phoenix. Wasn't too keen on Chamber of Secrets or Half Blood Prince.
Best Book: The first one. Haven't re-read them for a few years so am a bit hazy on this.

OOTP remains the best book but I prefer GOF and DH Part 2 as films thee days

Smithy 16-04-2019 12:04 PM

DH Part 2 could have been so much better (the battle for hogwarts specifically) if it had stuck to the source material

Liam- 16-04-2019 12:09 PM

Half Blood Prince is my favourite

Order of the Phoenix

Only read the first 2 books so can't comment on that but my fav film is OOTP or GOF

Deathly hollows by a mile. Quite liked the half blood prince too mind.

Film wise, DH part 2.

Order of the phoenix quite bored me, that and the prisoner of azkaban were not very good films IMO.

Alf 16-04-2019 12:17 PM

Only seen the films and Prisoner of Azkaban was easily the best.

RileyH 16-04-2019 12:18 PM

The only good bit of POA was the tree
