Worst Flight Experiences?

I've been flying quite a bit recently, doing like 10/15 flights in the last couple of months alone and i've been pretty lucky that they've all been relatively smooth

so anyway, i was just curious as to who had had any really bad flights and legit thought they were about to die or something

Never had one, always fly first class.

joke!

We had a really bad experience with British Airways, they lost my mums luggage!

Been flying with Thompson in the last few years which has been quite good, sometimes there are a lot of ill passengers and people being sick I've noticed.

Emirates is my favourite as never had a bad experience.

I was flying to london and the bitch next to me kept whispering 'buy the cure on itunes' in my ear :(

Ergh. Woman in front of me put her seat down once.

King Gizzard 20-06-2017 09:25 PM

I've booked window seats on all my flights in a September to limit the chance of having annoying ***** sit next to me

I wouldn't know where to start, i was on a small commercial jet once when we hit a bit of serious turbulence and one of the passengers started screaming we are all going to die.

I was on another flight where they had overbooked, and the extra passengers stood in the aisle for the whole flight .... i kid you not

I'm not too keen on flights so they are always very uncomfortable for me but this was the worst one for me. I was flying to Leeds Bradford Airport from Portugal on a RyanAir flight at the beginning of the year. The Pilot immediately said that there was issues with the plane and it would take off later than expected. They had to do something to the plane that I have never heared of and I felt really uncomfortable. When we started to fly most of the 2 and a half hour flight was taken over by turbulance and I literally thought we were going to crash, i've never felt so uncomfortable in my life.

Flying back from New York last summer and had an overnight flight. Always have a difficult time sleeping on flights but was knackered and had the 3 seats row all to myself. Figured it would be a nice quiet ride considering everyone else would surely be trying to sleep too, but had some guy and girl sat behind me that were both flying by themselves too and spent the first half of the flight getting to know eachother, drinking, and telling their life stories. A horrific night

Sounds like you've mistaken that with one of your megabus journeys

Weather conditions haven't been too good on a few. Flew over a thunderstorm on one occasion, and then on another occasion we were stuck in the air for quite a while because it was too windy to land.

I've never felt unsafe though.

Think I'd take that awful flight 100 times over the night Andy tried to pull a transvestite on the megabus thinking it was a GIP, poor guy was shocked to the core when they pulled their wig off

Megabus journeys like that would end up in somebody getting bottled.

I went to lisbon with friends and for some reason my ticket was in the middle of an elderly couple. It was a lads drinking holiday, and we'd all been up til 5am and had to then get up for 7;30am. On the Plane i was so hungover and kept thinking I was going to be sick. When the plane was taking off it made me hurl and so despite not belowed allowed to leave the seat I had to run and throw up in the planes toilet

I had something similar to this, we were flying back to Dubai and i had a row of three to myself so i laid down with all my blankets and pillows and then the turbulence started so the bloody air hostess came and woke me up and told me i have to have my seatbelt on, so i was awake the rest of the bloody flight :bored:

He did say "the first half of the night" so I dread to think what he was overhearing during the second half. :omgno:

26 hours on the runway at Denver airport in a blizzard. Freezing with the doors open, boiling with the doors closed, no one allowed on or off... and the problem turned out to be an administrative error. Oh how we laughed...

Kizzy 22-06-2017 11:15 AM

Mine wasn't even in the air, we were stood in the departure lounge in Alicante I could see a plane coming in then suddenly there was screaming... shouting and screaming coming from down a corridor! Panicked I ran to a security guard and asked what was going on.
It was the staff... they were watching football!!! D:
