A thought-provoking message of unity from Ian Duncan Smith.

A wise man indeed - who makes some very good points, not least about the hypocrisy and hysteria surrounding the DUP alliance.

A someone right leaning in their politics, I can without bias state categorically, that Ian Duncan Smith is a complete and utter tit.

Ugh. There's a name that hasn't darkened my synapses for a while. Trust you to dust off this irrelevant old troglodyte, Brillo... put him back in his box! Yuck.

Like many I wish Corbyn hadn't darkened mine. Hopefully soon we will be able to bolt that box down on Corbyn.

Right but then imagine, that happens, you don't hear about Corbyn for over a year, and then all of a sudden someone is like "Hey guys here's an article written by Corbyn". That's exactly what you've done here. Assaulted perfectly decent people by infecting them with a dose of IDS.

Try assaulting perfectly decent people oppossed to Corbyn with an in-your-face daily dose of him and his laughable and unrealistic policies in the knowledge it is all front and bribery to get to number 10. By the time the harsh realities of his real hard-line left views become apparent to many it will be too late.

Not to hear anything about him for a year sounds pretty good to me.

But... it was YOU who brought him up here? You clearly can't get enough.

This thread is about the common gastro-intestinal disorder known as IDS, not Corbyn. Stop derailing the thread :nono:

As it is all part of the same topic, politics, it can also be about a common virus that affects the brain called the JC virus. :hee:

Yeah but read the thread back - the first mention of Corbyn was by you... no one else was talking or even thinking about Corbyn. You're like that little monkey in "Outbreak"... you're not inflicted with the disease yourself, but unknown even to you, you are the carrier who is spreading it from thread to thread :omgno:.

As the creator of the thread I reserve the right to remain a carrier rather than be one infected by a potentially deadly virus of the brain due to a weakened immune system - in more ways than one if you get my meaning.

You've lost me to be honest. Is it AIDS?

King Gizzard 21-06-2017 10:44 AM

Possibly the worst Tory of them all

Kizzy 21-06-2017 10:50 AM

Haha what a joke! The party is finished and he knows it... get behind may and the DUP? This is a man who RESIGNED his position due to decisions made by his party that he could not stand behind... So to call on others to fall in line is it best hypocritical.

''I am unable to watch passively while certain policies are enacted in order to meet the fiscal self-imposed restraints that I believe are more and more perceived as distinctly political rather than in the national economic interest.

Too often my team and I have been pressured in the immediate run up to a budget or fiscal event to deliver yet more reductions to the working-age benefit bill …

I hope as the government goes forward you can look again … at the balance of the cuts you have insisted upon and wonder if enough has been done to ensure ‘we are all in this together’.''

Not aids - see above.

My last line was just my little dig at how those with weakened immune systems are more likely to buy into Corbyn and his 'promises'. :hee:

IDS is disgusting. Not just 'nasty Tory' disgusting, like, actually genuinely disgusting. One only needs to look at his time at the DWP to see that.

This is a new low for this forum.

The Tories finished - are you trying to kid others or yourselves. May likely will be at some point due to all the vitriolic slander against her - but the Tories. - never. If you believe that you are seriously infected with the JC virus. :hee:

Corbyn is not the coming you make him out to be. You can't kid a kidder.

Boohoolocks. What is truly disgusting is a politician grasping for power using tradegy to further his political career. That is a low lower than the lowest.

No response to my point in that post?...ok.

Tom4784 21-06-2017 11:44 AM

Problem with people like him is that he confuses 'unity' for 'getting people in line.'

Unity comes from compromise but people like him expect the opposition just to give up everything and align themselves with his beliefs.

Too right.

Ian Duncan Smith to me is one of the vilest politicians ever.

smudgie 21-06-2017 10:47 PM

Can't say I am a fan of his.

Crimson Dynamo 21-06-2017 10:55 PM

IDS talks a lot of sense

Yeah I have never met anyone who confesses to liking IDS. And I (unfortunately) know some extremely right leaning people.

Even the far right seem to think hes vile.

Yes he does. Disliked as he may be, he is spot on about many things in that article.
