Favourite Superhero Film Since The Dark Knight trilogy?
 

I think most people generally agree that TDK trilogy are the pinnacle of superhero films, but which of the hundreds released since has been your favourite?

Think my top 3 would be:

1. Wonder Woman
2. Logan
3. Captain America: The Winter Soldier

Original Avengers, Deadpool, BvS (extended cut. Yes I'm aware it's an odd choice [emoji23] )

Though I haven't seen Wonder Woman yet.

To be fair there aren't many that I DON'T enjoy at least a bit. Iron man 3 is one. I also didn't really like the first Thir on release, but quite enjoy it after Avengers and Thor 2...

I think the only one I didn't really enjoy in the slightest was Doctor Strange. Didn't interest me at all

It wasn't great


I went for Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 2

but it was a tough choice between that, Logan, Wonder Woman and Antman

Winter Soldier for sure. Shouts to Logan though.

I'm not really a Dark Knight fan only like The Dark Knight film.

Doctor Strange was legit awful, it was literally just Iron Man with magic.

My top three (barring the obvious Dark Knight Trilogy) would be

Captain America: The Winter Soldier
Wonder Woman
Logan

If we're including animated films then Batman: Under the Red Hood would be up there too.

Swap Logan with Wonderwoman and I can agree with this top three.

I found it interesting enough in the context of the larger MCU but as a film on its own it wasn't the best. The character isn't particularly likable, the villain was really build up but then when it came down to it was sort of lame... and the "love interest" part was totally pointless.

But yeah... important to the infinity stones storyline etc. so I still enjoyed it in that sense.

Iron Man 3 is just totally redundant. His suit keeps breaking like a slapstick comedy, Gwyneth Paltrow gets superpowers... and if that's not ridiculous enough... the whole story seems to be about him choosing his family life over being Iron Man... except he obviously doesn't actually do that because Age of Ultron and Civil War and so on. :think: so what IS it even about.

I also kind of agree with this btw... The Dark Knight itself is a brilliant film but Batman Begins is middling and ... :worry: ... I don't really rate Dark Knight Rises at all. Thought it was a bit of a mess. I also don't really like Bale as Bruce Wayne / Batman in any of them. Us unpopular an opinions as it may be - Ben Affleck makes a much better Batman :shrug:.

I voted for Wonder Woman that film was a breath of fresh air compared to the many many Iron man hulk captain america xmen etc trilogy films (not saying I do not like those) just great to see a woman kicking major butt :D

Logan was a great film but the first Guardians was my fave from this lot . Pure entertainment! I really enjoyed the second one too. Nebula is just soooooo HOT!!!:love:
