Obsessed with 'airtime'...
 

The amount of HMs complaining ab out others getting airtime is insane. have there ever been a more camera aware bunch? Tom moaning about the sisters 'stealing' it, Lotan moaning saying people do things just for airtime. Hannah going on about how the chocolate fight was boring and shouldn't be aired. Deborah going on about airtime. They all seem to have airtime on their minds 24/7...not sure I like it tbh as it kind of says to me they are in acting mode all of the time which isn't BB :(

Must admit i cried laughing at the end when the chocolate fight was going on and Hannah said to raph and Isabelle that she doubts they would even air that and raph gets in bed next to her time singing air timeee

Tbf to all of the Housemates the airtime has always been a discussion in the house as the cameras aren't exactly discreet in the house.

Lotan is probably the type of guy who strikes poses whilst taking a dump in the hope of getting a little extra air time :sleep:

I've been thinking the same. They mention it a lot.

I have never noticed it as much as this series. I swear every show its mentioned like 3+ times by different people.

I will have to keep an eye out for it now that you've mentioned it, it's interesting if they mention it that much during a day.

If Chanelle had started the chocolate fight, Raph would have thought it was the funniest thing ever and joined in.

Tbf the other team had kicked up such a stir about a few Eggs and then they're having Chocolate fights?

Not to sound silly but how exactly do they know who gets air time if they are in the house? Is BB telling them? Are they guessing based on how housemates are acting or something else? :conf:

They don't know who's getting the most airtime and that's why they are all fighting for it.

Quite sad tbh.

I mean the shows been on since 2000 air time has been discussed by housemates since 2006 are they supposed to ignore that that has an effect on peoples behaviour?

Have you ever seen it mentioned so often before? Literally every little thing that happens is 'done for airtime'. Both groups are constantly accusing each other of it too.

Unless its always been discussed that much and it usually just doesn't get shown I guess.

But many many housemates when they come out say they just forget about the cameras eventually. This lot aren't going to and seem to think they need to 'perform' or something :S

ANYONE who signs up for BB is fully aware there are cameras everywhere and they could be pointing at them at any stage. I actually agree that they are possibly the vainest housemates ever. I wouldnt mind but I dont find ANY of the with the exception of Savannah attractive if I am totally honest

the cameras rotate to follow the action so its pretty obvious as they can see and hear it. Between that and the producers shouting "Action" with the cue cards, there isn't much doubt :laugh:

The one which gets me is when they go to the DR and have no problem or anything of interest to say.I suspect that often this is done with the expectation of extra air time but even when the producers do still decide to show it this seldom works in the HM favor.?

the beauty of bb is no one nos what gets air time - who would have thought a complaint about airtime would get airtime ? I am confused - off to write a poem :nono:
