Overreaction about the mouse

I like people on both sides of the divide but for Raph's sake generally support the Outsider group, but I don't think they done themselves any favours with the mouse situation... It kind of feels like they're devoid of wanting to participate in any kind of fun.

Nicky91 24-06-2017 03:44 PM

no you're wrong, the mouse thing was really funny :hee:

Hannah wow :clap2:

Vicky. 24-06-2017 03:46 PM

I don't really see the mouse as 'fun' as it was done to someone Lotan dislikes, however the overreaction was ridiculous and their reaction in general showed up the 'wanting to play victim' thing even more tbh. They want to be isolated. Raph especially as he knows this tends to make housemates popular.

The water thing was pretty daft too. You can tell by looking at a bit of water whether it was done deliberately :D I can see why the girls would take that as them being targetted though even though we saw that it was actually an accident. But Raphs stirring yet again was rather amusing

bots 24-06-2017 03:50 PM

it was over reaction. Both camps don't seem to understand how to exploit a situation for their own positive advantage. They both have had opportunity to smile and take the higher ground, and both have failed miserably

Crimson Dynamo 24-06-2017 03:56 PM

did i really hear raph call Deborah MUTHA D in the mouse thing?

in real life?

:umm2:

Shaun 24-06-2017 03:58 PM

How is finding your bed tampered with by someone you don't get along with 'fun', though?

Just a laugh wasn't it. Should have just put it in Lotan's bed as 'revenge' or something. Would be understandable being annoyed about it if it was something like what happened to Deborah's bed, but not a toy mouse

well how is making the floor slippy so you can slip and give yourself brain damage funnier?

yet both the vile sisters shrieked with laughter?

Vicky. 24-06-2017 04:02 PM

The 'pranks' have all been seriously unfunny this year tbh.

And Chanelles seem to be very dangerous. She has already sent a housemate to HOSPITAL and still continues with the making the floor slippy on purpose stuff D:

Wasn't Lotan stripping for them both the other day and play fighting with them a few highlight shows ago, I just find his relationship with them weird at time, both sides pick and choose when to take offense I think is the best way to describe it

Drew. 24-06-2017 04:20 PM

Theres too much tension and hostility between the two groups, it's got to a stage where they'll look for any reasons to find something offensive or insulting, even if it does make them look like hypocrites. I do think Hannah had a right to feel a bit annoyed just because she's feeling like a target from that group but some of the reactions were OTT

JerseyWins 24-06-2017 04:29 PM

Massive over-reaction

But true I guess it's probably just super hostile between the two groups so anything will start setting them off at this point.

Jack_ 24-06-2017 05:00 PM

They definitely came out looking the worst in that particular situation tbh

armand.kay 24-06-2017 05:02 PM

Yeah I agree they overreacted but at the end of the day Hannah isn't Lotan's friend. Why would you prank someone you activity dislike if you wasn't trying to intimidate them?

Jake. 24-06-2017 05:03 PM

Lotan's action of putting the mouse under her bed didn't warrant her reaction but at the end of the day they aren't close or even friends and they'd already spilled water all over Deborah's bed

chuff me dizzy 24-06-2017 05:03 PM

I already opened a thread on this

I think this is rather over the top tbh. Trying to 'intimidate' her? Rather than...annoy?

I am not sure if it was done specifically to piss her off or as a jokey retaliation to her thinking it was hilarious to start singing at the top of her voice right after learning that the lads had had to listen to her singing for 2 hours.

Either way it was misjudged totally.

I doubt the phobia thing is real though as she was sat holding it and put it in her pocket and that where if she genuinely had a phobia of purple plastic mice, she wouldn't have even toughed the thing. 'Phobia' was created to make Lotan out to be even worse that he is and to try and explain the ridiculous overreaction to the mouse.

I could totally understand the 'phobia' angle if it actually looked like a mouse though. But noone could mistake that thing for a real mouse :D

I thought this was afterwards...

Don't get me wrong I'm not saying that loan wanted to scare her out the house, but to me the entire situation just reminded me of how Aaron and conor would 'prank' people they disliked to make them feel powerless.

Hmm. I barely watched that series and remember next to nothing about it but I remember an intense dislike for that Arron dude

I don't actually see how a prank could make someone feel 'powerless' tbh. Maybe its something I need to actually watch to understand

Headie 24-06-2017 05:38 PM

Deborah put it perfectly though, if Lotan was friends with Hannah then it would be ok to think she'd find it funny. But this is someone who he's clashed with repeatedly and not once have they ever considered them to have a friendly relationship, so it comes across as vindictive and mean.

If someone you disliked "pulled a prank" on you would you honestly laugh or would you feel like they're targeting you?

It depends on the prank. I don't think I would feel targeted with any prank as a one off. BUT from what the sisters were saying this is not the first time it has happened as one of them said something along the lines of 'again?!'. If it has been a regular thing then yes I would feel targeted. As a one off (or even a couple of times) nope. Especially when there are so many other 'hilarious pranks' going on in the house too

I think they just had a bad day though tbh. The knicker/sock thing. Then the mouse. Then the water. First and last things I don't think were deliberate mind but I can see how they would be taken that way (especially with raph promoting the 'fact' that they were clearly on purpose)

Deborah and hannah are on constant alert too so will be looking for stuff. So they may well be picking up on something that isn't there too, or picking up on subtler things that unless one was specifically looking for they wouldn't notice...if that makes sense?
