But it appears Big Brother has sunk to new lows in a bid to claw back Love Island's lead in the ratings war.

Housemate Chanelle taught Isabelle how to put a condom on a banana with her mouth in an excruciating episode on Thursday, while Love Island shook things up by welcoming 11 newcomers to the villa.

The awkward segment came after it was revealed Big Brother is trailing in the ratings war with Love Island by almost a million viewers.

In the second week of the competing reality shows, Big Brother drew an average of 1.3 million viewers, while Love Island soared to a record 2.2 million.

Love island literally does stuff every day to shake it up though. There's been 2 re-couplings this week, 3 evictions where 5 people have left, eleven new people and a massive twist - all within the last 7 episodes. They've had 29 islanders this year and they're only half way through, they don't stop till like the last week

Also ITV actually care about LI you cant watch that channel without constant promo to catch up on the ITV hub and tune in that night. Had fight night happened on LI everyone would know about it before noon there would be promo clips everywhere.
