Anyone go to the cinema on their own?

Just perched and booked to see that the new Spider Man movie next Friday on my own.

I have my tennis lesson and my club is like right next to the cinema so it's handy!

I would always go the cinema with nan so will be going on my own for the first time!

Anyone else go on their own?

Braden 01-07-2017 07:28 PM

Yes! I literally love it, I find that I engage more with the film when I go on my own.

caprimint 01-07-2017 07:29 PM

I don't go to the cinema ever but I might one week when there is a movie on that I'm potentially interested in seeing because my one of my housemates works at the cinema and gets to take 4 friends for free every week.

If I were into seeing movies though, I would definitely go on my own, don't see the issue with it

Iconic! I'm quite excited but nervous going on my own.

Never done it myself because I'm one of those people that find being on my own really embarrassing and so on but I wouldn't judge others who do it at all

That's really good getting to take 4 people for free!

Yeah I agree, like I cba trying to find someone to go with. Too much hassle!

I just wanted to book asap!

I've done it once which i was quite nervous about but really it makes no difference at all because when you're watching it you don't even socialise with your friends.

Niamh. 01-07-2017 07:31 PM

Not really because someone in the house usually wants to come but I'd have no problem going on my own if no one wanted to come see a film that I wanted to see

ME!

I'm going in the day so there shouldn't be too many people. I completely get what you're saying.

There aren't many people in my family who like the cinema, only ever had nan to go with.

Yeah like I'm kind of fine going on my own.

Babayaro. 01-07-2017 07:34 PM

I was going to see Alien: Covenant on my own but decided against it. :(

storybrooke 01-07-2017 07:36 PM

I've been to the cinema once on my own because nobody wanted to see the film. It was fine and nobody even gave me a funny look, though I felt a bit awkward at first.

I would definitely go again on my own.

Vicky. 01-07-2017 07:36 PM

I have never been on my own but I would like to.

not you spending over 100 quid just to go cinema with someone. flights are expensive

JerseyWins 01-07-2017 07:38 PM

Never gone alone but I don't see an issue with it I just prefer to go with people as it's not as much fun for me otherwise. I'm not one that likes to go out anywhere in general unless it's with friends.

Vanessa 01-07-2017 07:38 PM

Yes, I love it.

Yeah it certainly isn't the most social thing! I dragged her along to The Amazing Spider Man 2 and she fumed afterwards! :joker:

LukeB 01-07-2017 07:39 PM

Will do you socialise when you're watching a film in the cinema like talk during the film?

Jian Yang 01-07-2017 07:40 PM

Yes. I'll be going to watch All Eyez on Me during the week alone.

When I go with friends then yeah

One time I went with my friend and we thought this couple were having sex on the back row and we bursted out laughing and everyone started staring at us, it was a scream!

It was quite a small screen so we could talk, I think it was the fast and furious movie!
