Bans and lengths
 

I was just wondering what the ban lengths are on here for certain things.

Say someone posted porn how long would the ban last or if a person went on a rant against the forum would the ban be forever?

There used to be set ban lengths, first ban was one day, 2nd was 3 days and 3rd was a week (something along those lines anyway)

Nowadays, much like infractions, mods seem to chose the length of the ban if it's a post that results in someone going straight to a ban

why?

Just post the porn no one will mind really.

A week if they forget to unclick a certain button..a day with no apology once they notice their error.

Not true at all, completely depends on multiple different scenarios and other things.

Bans and the length of them are completely individual to the member. It depends on multiple things such as infraction history, active points etc.
