Ellie only feels validated when she has male attention?
 

It's so depressing to watch her, especially when she is drunk. You can see the desperation in her eyes when she is around him and when she talks about Sam, she lies to all of her friends about how far she wants to go. I think she would do anything for him if he keeps giving her attention. She was the same with Lotan, she just wanted validation from him, she thinks throwing herself at men is something that gives her worth and value.

Does anyone else notice this about her? Anyone else feel very uncomfortable watching it?

Yes I do. You just want to grab her and tell her to get a grip...but it would be a waste of breath. She's so desperate to be liked...
However I think she loves playing the victim and getting the sympathy votes.

I like Ellie as a housemate but her interaction with possible love interests in there is like watching a car crash in slow motion. The girl ought to grow up and get a grip. She was crying in the diary room over Lotan after 2 days ffs. It's pathetic

She was pretty much the same on Ibiza Weekender with one of the reps. I honestly don't think she's 'fake' like some on here profess (though she might ham it up a little in the DR), I do believe she's a nice person that just wants some affection and attention. My issue is she's just a completely middle-of-the-road housemate. Like a total cliche, an archetypal winner that really brings very little to the series.

I know others think this is going to end her chance at the title but I'm beginning to think this series may well turn into a procession. I personally think this storyline will play right into her hands (though again, not deliberately) and it just makes me feel like I'm wasting my time watching tbh.

Yeah, I don't think she does it in a fake way. I think she just has a serious lack of self respect and really doesn't love herself. It's so sad to watch. She feels like she has to give herself to a man or they won't be interested. :sad: She really needs to get into therapy or something, not saying this to be mean or anything, I really think it would benefit her to have some kind of guidance.

I refuse to give her attention in the village for this reason - even if I love ellie - any romance needs a BB ban. make the game more interesting.

Yes I agree and that's why I hate that she's the one being pushed as the normal girl in there. I would hate for my daughter to grow up thinking that being dependent on a man is normal

I completely agree, she's a terrible role model and that lack of self worth is not normal at all.

People that look for Showmances normally are quite desperate people for the fame, and if they're not getting the Showmance that they want then they get even more desperate and it just starts getting obscene like Ellie where she's had two Showmances within 5 weeks.:shocked:

I'm sure that IRL that Ellie's a nice person, but BB has really played on her negative Showbiz traits imo.

She cant help being attractive to men. Normal woman, a little needy, but a normal British woman, salt of the earth

I agreed with this nomination. I get the impression she does need a bloke in her life to function. I have a few friends like it and they act the same way. She is going to be remembered as the desperate one.

I screamed when he said it. It's so true though, I feel sorry for her and I know it's valid now because Raph is around her in real life and confirms it.
