I still find Cody interesting. He makes me laugh.

Braden 03-07-2017 05:10 PM

:clap1:

I really don't get how Cody is getting a free pass based on the fact that he's an intriguing character. He seems like a major douchebag.

Macie Lightfoot 03-07-2017 05:30 PM

I think he's one of the most unique casting choices in a loooong time, possibly ever, and I think his approach to the game is refreshing and a bit old school, albeit terrible, with him having a plan and sticking to it, not willing to listen to anyone's bull**** and going as far as to blindside his entire alliance in the process. He's an odd duck who has clearly been ****ed up by whatever trauma he experienced in the military, and he's doing enough good things for me right now that I'm willing to handle one ****ty transphobic remark.

Not to mention that it's been like twelve days and he is SO over production already and, duh, me too. I've been bitching for what seems like a lifetime for someone to just say **** you to the vets and get them out Week 1 and we finally had someone who was just about to do it.

It's all great when you put it like that, but he's still a douche and it'll eventually wear thin.

Captain.Remy 03-07-2017 05:51 PM

Audrey for all-stard obvs.

In regards to Cody, as for now he is the leader but soon enough he will become a target. This is so classic of BB I can feel it already.

Yeah he is a douche but I am still finding it entertaining for now at least.

eh, I've already worn thin on Elena's desperate attempts to make the episodes and Raven talking about her illness and Paul not shutting the **** up. I'm not saying you're wrong, but 20% of the cast are already instant feed-switchers for me and Cody's not one of them so I'll take what I can get while I can get it.

Well I haven't watched the feeds aside from clips, so I can't comment on the others. However, I care way too much about the trans community to give this nob a free pass. What he said was far too explicit for my liking, and he showed no remorse or uneasiness for it. Definitely makes him one of the least likeable people of the cast on that alone.

DouglasS 03-07-2017 06:27 PM

I think hes just naive and very sheltered. I don't think he truly knows what hes saying. I'm not going to stop liking him for a single isolated comment over many days that he has been providing. If he continues saying stupid things maybe

I find it rich for any Paulie fan to try and have the morale high ground over Cody's support after Paulie's behaviour and numerous non-PC comments he said throughout his season.

I could totally understand liking Cody regardless of an individual offensive comment he's made but I don't understand liking Cody. :joker:

At his best he's ironically amusing and helping out the quality of the season with his move(s) but his overall character/demeanor/attitude is just so not rootable to say the least.

Monte?

Macie Lightfoot 04-07-2017 06:23 AM

I mean if you're trying to find actual, likable human beings to root for then you're most definitely watching the wrong show. That kind of comes with the territory of BBUS as far as I'm concerned.

JerseyWins 04-07-2017 06:28 AM

There's usually a good amount of them on every season.

Not everyone is perfect, but not everyone has made belligerent comments about trans people so openly.

I don't think anyone actually likes Cody they like him for the reasons you stated. Most of the BB players are cray but sure their might be 1 or 2 nice normal people on the show a year. But the crazies like Cody/ Devin etc are a large part of what make BB fun for me to watch.
