Isn't it awkward when a wind up backfires...

In fact the funniest thing about it was Raph said he loves playing pranks, but only pranks his good friends because they would see it as a joke...not only did that backfire, but it reminded me of an egg prank he played on his not so close friends in the first week.....

Double whammy...

TaylorCallum 16-07-2017 10:25 PM

He's had fun with his pranks, including his scares so I don't think it's a big deal. You must get bored in there so he's just keeping himself occupied.

Niamh. 16-07-2017 10:25 PM

Poor Raph, didnt do him any harm in the edit though, it made him look endearing imo

He was just being playful

*chuckles*

The general opinion regarding the prank on other social media sites seems to be pro-Raph.

I think Hannah was mad at first, but when she found out it was Raph she was more just annoyed. Raph doesn't have a huge ego so he will will probably talk it out with her tomorrow and apologize (again, lmao)... and probably after Hannah rants to him about how much she didn't appreciate the joke.

If it was anyone other than Raph, Hannah probably would have thrown a fit, but she knows Raph would never have malicious intent towards her. Any other housemate probably would have tried to deflect Hannah's feeling and excuse it as being "just a joke" and blame Hannah for overreacting, which would anger her more.

Raph handled it well. Was honest, didn't make Hannah feel like her feelings were invalid, and simply apologized.

rusticgal 16-07-2017 10:33 PM

Well I guess everyone who likes him will saying how endearing he was...

You can avoid my 2nd point though if it can't be defended.

Raph deliberately put eggs into the butter as a prank...a prank intended for a majority of the housemates he did not like...does that not make him a hypocrite considering what he said tonight?...

It was both him and Chanelle that did it, he was just the only one who owned up to it.

Mystic Mock 16-07-2017 10:35 PM

Raph is trying to set Hannah up to be evicted I suspect.

I don't think so. He has probably pranked everyone. But Hannah overreacting is the reason they showed it. Seems to me that it's the show that wants her out. Bad edit?

Fiesty lol

I dont need to address every point everyone makes. I also dont need to defend everything Raph says and does :/

I'm talking about Raph and his ethics on prancing people...it's irrelevant that Chanelle was involved. The prank was aimed at the 'Clique'...but Raph said tonight he only pranks his good friends otherwise it will be seen as malicious...and he doesn't do that ...but he did...with the intent to stir the pot. We all know he dutifully owned up to it but it contradicts what he said tonight does it not?

I'm not attacking Raph for it as it is a game, the only thing that I wish he would do is be honest to the public about what he was doing.

But you avoided the point that was indefendable...and defended the point that was defendable. However you are right..you can address whatever point you wish Niamh.

You can't compare a prank from week 1, to one with a friend after 6/7 weeks together.

Especially when pranks were happening non-stop due to Arthur in that first week.

I doubt it...it just backfired. Raph obviously forgetting Hannah does NOT have a sense of humour.

Defendable and non defendable, bloody hell, are we still talking about playing pranks on people? [emoji23]

You are clearly missing the point...

Actually, he said that he only feels comfortable pranking a singular person if he is good friends with them, because he feels like they wont take it personally and would understand his jest. Otherwise, he would prefer it to be a group prank.

The egg in the butter was towards everyone, and was just playfully perpetuating the whole "egg gate" situation. No one was even upset by him doing that so I don't know why you are? :conf:

Raph knows that if he can get someone to lose their temper and they're up for eviction up against him then they're gone.

However he might cost himself if he keeps playing this sort of game throughout the week as if I can see what his doing and I'm supporting him, then I can only imagine what neutrals will be thinking.

Pretty much everyone just thinks he was having a bit of fun, I think you are reading too much into it.

No...I'm trying to make a point on the hypocrisy of Raphs prank ethics...but the comparison is being ignored..as I thought it might

I like Raph, but there was more to it than just a bit of fun I think.
