why is this in chat and games :conf2:

Jamie89 18-07-2017 12:06 PM

The principle behind it seems like common sense to me, it's embarrassing that in 2017 some people might believe that housework is 'woman's work'. Not sure it's actually something that needs banning though.

The advert from the original post. 'What's goin' on'.

And women

Sexist stereotype ads are bloody annoying. Not sure why it matters if its against men or women but I am not surprised your only issue is with the ones about men :idc:

I thought this was a teenager failing to know how to wash his own clothes?

Is teenage lazy and stupid stereotypes banned or just gender ones?

simply because the discrimination against men has been ignored for 40 years....we hear about female discrimination 24 hours a day. a point you would actually agree with me in private, but not on here in front of the left wing comrades

Of course it is. :pat:

Maybe I have bigger things to worry about than a bloke on the telly not knowing how to work a washing machine. Heck my step dad would find the operation of a washing machine akin to rocket science and hasn't washed a thing in his life.

But, hey men are victims of everything so who am I to argue.

40 years? That's a very specific number.

I thought it dated all the way back to before the first world war tbh.

It depends what you mean by this. I do think that some areas are drastically underfunded for men, and have said this on the open forum. I don't remember having any private chats with you so am unsure what you mean by this but I am happy for you to share these private chats we have had where I contradict what I have said on the open forum?

Trouble is Arista we have heard this all before but little changes. You still see the women doing the vacuuming, making the kids lunches and doing the washing-up in most TV ads.

Women are still being portrayed as sex objects by the media not least in the entertainment industry, although I also blame women to some degree as many women play up to that image of themselves.

Many female artists sell sex by selling their own sexuality to sell their music whilst many male artists also sell female sexuality to sell their music - they don't flaunt themselves. It's sad that in this day and age women still feel the need to do that especially highly successful female artists such as Rhiannon and many more. It doesn't do much for female equality - except hinder it.

The men are being far more discriminated against , the vast majority being treated as moronic idiots incapable of anything....thus perpetuating the stereotype in particular of lazy young men...hardly a boost to the young males out there who are falling miles behind women across all education and with their parental rights also miles behind and so much male health issues massively less funded than women and male suicide at 5 times the rates fo women...these adverts really destroy young mens confidence even further. with no education no jobs no fathers in their lives and so much underfunding of male problems is it any wonder male suicide is so high
