1 dead several injured after knife attack in Hamburg

One person has been killed and several are injured after a stabbing attack in a supermarket in the German city of Hamburg, it has emerged.
A suspect has already been arrested after the attack and police in the city say they are still unclear over the motive.
Emergency services were called at about 3.10pm amid reports a man had run across the street and into an Edeka shop.

I have friends in Hamburg and was worried when I heard this, so emailed them. They are fine thank goodness. They say that someone said he screamed allah while he was attacking. Then they have heard that he was trying to rob the store and started stabbing when people resisted.
I don't know for sure what the real story is yet, but it's awful anyway.

An update to this story if anyone is interested. This man was about to be deported and it's believed he thought he would take some stolen cash with him. He was cornered and started stabbing people. Unfortunately he was still alive when arrested.
