Is it just me or is Danan the biggest signing they've had in years? (confirmed by BB)
 

Probably since The Situation? Danan has done it all. He has been in movies, he has amassed a legion of TV credits over a 22 year period, he has done theater, he lived every actors dream and moved to LA for a while, he appeared on the greatest reality TV show of all time 'Calum, Fran, and Dangerous Danan' on ITV2, and was the main catapult in Love Island being such a huge show (and was even invited back to be part of the show during its relaunch, appearing on an episode last year).

I think it really is a shame that he is going in with a bunch of nobodies like Barry from Eastenders and some guy from the Bachelor instead of other celebrities on his level like Jermaine and Latoya Jackson, Gary Busey, Stephen Baldwin, Michael Madsen, Vinnie Jones, etc.

He's not a household name, I personally don't know of him or his name, nor do my family, I don't think hes that famous looking at his wikipedia page either, so definitely not.

Katie Price however is a household name, she is very 'famous' and probably the biggest signing I remember of the past 3 or so years. In her hayday she was on every magazine in shops and on every TV show. Doesn't mean shes as talented however, but still a big signing regardless.

Sarah Harding is a pretty big name for reality TV, especially BB anyway.

In terms of recent series [2015 onwards];Katie Price [as mentioned earlier], Ray J, Sam Fox, Janice Dickinson, Perez Hilton, Danielle Westbrook, David Gest, heck even Gemma Collins are definitely bigger household names and bigger singings, theres not even a question about it. This guy really isn't that famous and is pretty washed up, he hasn't really done tonnes, and your only really know of him if your personally a fan, I doubt he'd even be the most famous out of all the celebrities, he probably wont have the top fee either, unless BB is very poor this year after ratings.

Danan was a household name before Gemma Collins had even appeared on TV :nono: You raise good points about Janice Dickinson, David Gest, and Katie Price, they're probably on a similar level of the fame spectrum as Danan.

I think Sarah's more famous than Paul.

Actually, I've read up moreso on him and I do know who he is :joker:. I think he'll be a good housemate as I'd seen him on Love Island and liked him there. He is a big signing, but I don't think hes the biggest personally.

Shaun Williamson is probably a bigger. He was on a prime time BBC1 high rated show and also on Extras. Sarah Harding is definately bigger, no question.

Anybody can "move" to LA. It's an actors dream to get there and find work, which he didn't.

Well tbf so did Sarah's but she is still a big name. Coming from one of the most success girl groups/RTV contestants.

No they can't. It's very difficult to move to the US. For an actor they'd have to find an American agency first to sign them, a very difficult thing to do but thankfully Paul's talent shone through.

5 years ago seems like a long time..she tried doing a solo career but flopped and she flopped on corrie.

Danan did not vanish. He'd had enough of the fame so decided to drop off the radar for a while and teach his craft to children in 'The Paul Danan Acting School', rated 5 stars on Facebook.

So? I'm not talking about who's flopping. She's stayed in the papers, around so therefore she kept somewhat famous. Danan's fame died.
