Best Bits need to be improved
 

I can't help but feel that housemates best bits videos have really become all the same and a bit meh.

Compare the editing and song choice to this:



to any of the best bits from series recently. Seems a shame :(

The BOTS bits are literally better best bits than the actual best bits nowadays (at least, Isabelle's was)

I forgot how irritating she was

I was watching Kat's best bits the other day and fell in love with Mika all over again after forgetting all the songs, haven't heard them in years

I hate how the C5 Best Bits follow this whole "happy montage with upbeat music... doom and gloom music with arguments and bitchy comments from the diary room with a moody overtone, then the screen brightens up with the upbeat music again". The C4 Best Bits just have something about them

Watching the BOTS bits on Friday made me regret not watching BOTS for the other evictions, they're original and are made around the housemate rather than the boring same-old format (surely they should use the BOTS bits on the main show since no doubt more work gets put into them and more people would watch them since barely anyone watches BOTS?)

But like, the way it's all edited together, a song that suits her personality (as opposed to generic club music that gets played against the clips these days) and the fact it's a real mixture of moments from the house as opposed to -entrance, other housemates say something nice, housemate in question dances around a bit, screen fades to grey, housemates argue, colour comes back, housemate says "my time in the big brother house," housemate walks out. Meh.

Oh no I completely agree, Best Bits used to be great and the use of just one song in the C4 format kinda helped it all gel together and make a cohesive video. The C5 system is "cut and paste" the same dancing clips around a middle *dark* arguments/breakdown moment, set to some stock dubstep music and maybe one song currently in the Top 40.

Series best bits being centred around one MOR song were a lot better. God bless Rory for producing the masterclass (that C4 failed to do for UBB):

Not getting a 3 minute montage at the end of the series, followed by the echos of the housemates in the house... just wrong.
