The Challenge returns for it's Autumn season, and this time things are about to get witchy! 'The ChaIIenge: Coven' will be bigger, better and more challenging than the previous season (which you can read
here, however it was more of a 'beta' season, testing the format, finding what worked and what didn't work).
The game consists of 12 players split up into 3 ‘Covens’ (teams). At the beginning of each round is a competition called ‘The Battle’ where the three covens will compete in their teams to win immunity from elimination. The losing team (i.e. the team which came last in the competition, failed to complete the competition) will have to vote for one person in their team to send to the elimination competition called ‘The Challenge’. From this season on wards, the team which neither won nor lost will have their fate decided by the winning team (The winning team will vote for which player from the third team to compete in The Challenge and risk elimination). So then the player from the losing team (voted for by their team) and the player from the other team (voted for by the winning team) will face The Challenge and one will be eliminated.
At the finale, the last teams remaining will go head to head in The Final Challenge - The winners of which will be crowned The Challenge Champions. Last year, Team Alpha managed to keep the majority of their team to the end meaning three people won the game! However, if only one team remains at the finale, then all players will play individually meaning that only one person can win The ChaIIenge: Coven. And that's not the only change we've made! There will also be a season long twist, which will tempt the winner of each Challenge as a reward for competing and remaining in the game - although what these rewards will be, you'll have to wait and see.
