He's shrewd, calculating, and self-serving. Telling that blonde kid to apologize was a way to claim the moral high ground and play the big man. Total weasel move. The guy's a greasy little prick, and I hope the general audience sees him for what he is.

Im afraid I have to agree with you. He is playing a game so he will come across as so supportive but he called her an awful name and it didnt just 'Come out by accident'

Paul cannot be anyone but who he is he wears his heart on his sleeve. The guy is being genuine.

I like Paul and hope he is being genuine, I'm not always a good judge of character immediately so lets wait and see
