Correct me if I'm saying this but. (contains a spoiler)

With Karthik evicted and Trisha walking, there really is only three big characters left in the show who love them or hate them are Sarah, Paul, and Jemma. None of them would be a ratings winner, but it's probably for the best not to lose any of these three next as they are unhinged and offering us talking points like Karthik and to a lesser extent Trisha was offering us.

We need some of the other Housemates like Sandi, Shaun, and Helen to step up to the plate, and Chad considering he has beaten Karthik twice in the vote he has to kind of show the public something back in return for doing that imo. And hopefully if anyone does step up to the plate they will not be in the same character type as Sarah, Paul, and Jemma.

BBUK-Fan 11-08-2017 11:04 PM

If bigger characters go, others step up

Chad's become a strong character tbh

In what way though? He's still the same to me minus the Amelia thing.

Ant. 11-08-2017 11:07 PM

Arguably Brandi too, but she stays in the background most of the time. The rest are just bores

.

Definitely becoming more involved and enjoyable, and would definitely be the best winner if Sandi doesn't step up

JayGreen 11-08-2017 11:12 PM

i think if Jemma stays in Sarah will walk.

Well he has stood by Sarah when many have turned on her...
Is that because she was cheered and saved?...maybe but he seems quite genuine to me.
Jemma and Trisha telling him what he can or cannot do...he put them in their place...he is no ones puppet..

I'm not saying that Chad is a nasty person, I just don't think that his anything unique though.

Although tbf this series is pretty bad, it's only fun Housemate imo just got evicted so it's in a desperate situation now on how to fix itself in my view as it can't just have Sarah, Paul, and Jemma arguing every night, Chad looking for a Showmance, and Jam being pricks, it's just too repetitive every night.

No way...she has had arguements with Paul much to Jemma's amusement and Paul has backtracked and made amends...Jemma has now backtracked because she has no one to support her feud with Sarah...
Sarah has them eating out of her hand at the moment and after tonight she is holding all the cards.
She isn't frightened or intimidated by the tramp...

mr rochester 11-08-2017 11:18 PM

Chad will now have more to latch on to now that the audience cheered her. Maybe he will now view Sarah as a safe passage latch on for himself...

Brandi needs to stop playing the game because there's no way she can win, she may aswell go full Housewife and give us a good few weeks.

He defends Sarah and never gets personal or aggressive in arguments (we've not really seen him argue, but he has handled confrontations with Trish and Jemma calmly). It's a nice surprise, especially since a lot of the men recently have been aggressive (not opening this tin of beans), background characters (Derek), or cookie-cut 'lads' (we're talking Jam, Lewis and Bear, Kieran and Tom, etc) and because I (and others) assume he would be aggressive and possibly ejected after he was threatening on the Bachelor.

Also the lack of Amelia helps, since he realised how he acted to her was silly and he didn't want to make such a mistake again. A nice bit of growth and reflection on his actions shows he's changed (whether that's fake and part of his game, up to us decide but I like to think he's genuine) and it's nice to see that in a housemate. Also he's greatly toned down his self-obsessed, entitled behaviour, which is good to see

In a house filled with drama and no fun, it's nice that we have a little reprieve from it with Chad's friendship/flirting with Sarah and someone who takes up airtime without being controversial

BIB is still my issue with him though as he hasn't learned to just be an individual rather than looking for flirtmances/Showmances all of the time, it's non-stop with the guy. I honestly feel that his just being let off because he's being nice to the "right" person rather than him being nice to Paul or Jemma which would be deemed as "wrong."

Had Chad got it on with Amelia he may well have gone tonight...Amelia and Brandi pulled him down a peg or two. I think maybe the public now see him as a decent guy standing by someone targeted by many of the housemates.
Karthik was an interesting housemate because he was a socially awkward guy and pretty full of himself...I wouldn't call him a 'fun' housemate .. he didn't really fit in but didn't wallow in self pity because he had so much confidence in himself and thought he was funny and real and saw himself as a big character when in fact the other housemates found him annoying to say the least.
I think BB will mix it up a bit like they usually do...there is so much that can happen...

Fetch The Bolt Cutters 11-08-2017 11:29 PM

you are saying it

DouglasS 11-08-2017 11:32 PM

Since when was Karthik a big character. He was nice and harmless, but he barely contributed to the show tbh. Brandi is as much as a big character as him.

Well put...you have hit the nail on the head. His admittance to his tactless advance on Amelia shows a humbleness compared to his blatent cockiness when he first went in the house. Now he has calmed down and just showing himself to be a mature person...and fair. He dealt with Trisha and Jemma in a disciplined way and left them feeling stupid..which they were.

No offense but I think you've missed Karthik's Diary Room segments where he thinks that his hilarious, his arguments with Paul and Brandi. And his dynamic with Sarah was way more interesting as there was no Showmance gonna come out of it.

Brandi doesn't even come close as she just basically spends her time hating on men that don't suck up her ass.

It's kinda true that when this series ends the only people so far that will be discussed are Sarah, Paul, Jemma, and Karthik. The others really need to step it up if they want to be classed as memorable Housemates.

In theory, I'd like him even if he was nice to them. I didn't mind Trisha and Jemma until Trisha joined in with her behaviour. Besides, he's not said anything bad about them. If Chad didn't join in with theiir arguing I'd be all for the friendship

TIBB don't normally like Housemates like Chad, that's a fact, there's only one reason why his getting support on here and is an added bonus with the general public and that is Sarah.

You say that because you don't think he's changed his behaviour. I hated him when he was (as rusticgal perfectly said it) making tactless advances on Amelia and tried flirting with Brandi despite her not reciprocating. But he realised how wrong he was with the Amelia situation and we saw him have platonic relationships with Trisha and Jemma(?). He's not even flirting with Sarah, yes he has a crush on her but I don't recall them ever flirting - Chad implying Brandi was talking to Big Brother about how sexy he is was more flirtatious than Chad's ever been with Sarah

It just so happens he cleaned up his act at the same time he aligned with Sarah.

Withano 11-08-2017 11:55 PM

The cast on the whole just seem like they've came straight out of hell. I'm gonna need more HLs of the boring oldies or I'm out.

The highlights may as well scream it in people's faces that Chad is gonna have a Showmance with Sarah, and if that's now becoming accepted on BBUK then I'm out as I'm sorry but BB is more about social interactions, fun, and arguments which are all natural things in real life, not people pretending to be in love like Love Island.
