Good team. I felt bad not picking Shearer, that was my hardest choice.

Can't agree with your keeper though. Van der Saar was good, but Schmeichel is in the top 5 keepers that's ever lived.

Schmeichel was my second choice. Went for van der Saar purely because I grew up watching him.

A tad limited with the choices but went with:


hard leaving out Bergkamp/Giggs but oh well. Defender choices in particular were a little weak.

If your talking consistency over time, then players like Giggs an Shearer would have to be in there. But I chose my team by who I think was the greatest player at their best. Which would probably put someone like Bale ahead of Giggs. Although Bale didn't even make my team, but he was close.

I mean, if we are being honest, it will be majority Man Utd players.

Shouts to Shearer,Bergkamp,Pires and Beckham. Harsh on Lampard and Gerrard but you don't break up a treble winning midfield.

Nah! Manchester United were a great team that gelled together, and played for a manager who got the best out of all of them. But individually, there were better players in other clubs.

Any team without Keane is already void for consideration. Literally the first player you would build your team around. Also lol at no one picking Irwin
