Why I want Chad to win

First of all, people calling him stupid and that "he can't read" is an insult because of the following:

Career and History:

1. He went to university and passed.... he can't have been "that" dumb,.
2. He was in the US marines, which takes a lot of determination and stamina.
3. He transformed himself physically. There are pictures of him around the internet looking much less toned and more of a Dad-bod... thinking whatever you think about people who go to the gym, it isn't easy. We don't slate women for losing weight, so why do we slate men for losing weight and building themselves up?
4. Failed businesses and then successful businesses means he is resilient and doesn't give up. You learn from your mistakes... the best entrepreneurs and business people in the world failed many times.
5. He has had a career in Real Estate
6. He is also a body coach online and has his own newsletter (which he writes himself) urging men and women to feel more confident, and gives them tips and writes diet plans for them (this is outside of his real estate job)

He said in the first week on CBB that he'd only been in the public eye for one year, thanks to The Bachelorette and other reality shows. He's pointed out the difference between fake US shows like that and Big Brother many times. He's trying his best to be himself.

So, out of 30 years of his life, 28 of them have been out of the public eye

Now, lets look at all those people who are famous for just reality? Most of them, and lets look at all those people who sponge off their parents cash.... a lot.

Other reality people will kill to be as successful as him outside of the reality circuit.

Personality

It is hard to protect someone who is hard to defend. Someone who has a lot of baggage, someone that needs constant love and attention. It takes grit and balls for it. He has handled himself, not just with Sarah, but with everyone extremely well. He is the voice of reason and makes good points. He sees both sides in people, the good and the bad (he has constantly said this about Paul and Jemma).

He is also funny, very dry sense of humour, one that no offence, you don't associate with an American. He speaks up for people without losing it and doesn't get in petty rows over stupid things.

I don't like him because he is with Sarah, I like him individually much more.

The Sarah/Chad, "cheat" scenario:

He has stated before that it sucks for the other bloke watching things unfold, but should he feel bad?

I don't think he should really. First of all, Chad is single. He has said that he has never cheated (which I believe) and this is backed up by his ex and his relationship with her and previous people. People say "he is cheating", but is HE cheating? He doesn't know this bloke from Adam personally. Sarah has probably spoken to Chad about him though.

Also people are quick to assume that they were exclusive, when it was a couple of dates. Different. We live in a world of Tinder and where people go on numerous dates with different people.

Now, if some person approached you and got close and then got with you, would you stop and say "woah, woah, you can't do this because you have been on a date with someone else a few times". How many people would say that if you knew the other person... quite a few. Now, how many people would say that if you have no idea who the other person is?..... hardly anyone!

This is why I feel it is not up to Chad to feel sorry about someone he doesn't know.

Don't get me wrong, I would have much preferred for it not to have happened as in the long run it's a negative for both, but why will he be in the bad light? I even felt the same about Bear and Khloe. She was single, she shouldn't have gotten blame IMO, especially not as much as him. Plus that was a much worse one because Bear had been together with Lillie for a while and they WERE exclusive.

Padding the post out with career highlights says nothing about him as a hm.

If you bothered to read, the point of that was to trounce Brandi's "he can't read and I stupid" comment.

Daniel. 19-08-2017 11:46 AM

Well it puts pay to the spiteful Brandi calling him thick, all she's done is be a desperate housewife, desperate being the operative word.

It didn't though. Which is why padding was needed.

His entire stay has been based on getting a showmance and then being Sarah's prop.

bots 19-08-2017 12:22 PM

nobody has mentioned the most important fact about Chad. He has played the game really well. Considering he didn't really know the show, he has navigated his way through all the drama with ease. Its not just luck that he finds himself in a strong position going in to the final week.

Vanessa 19-08-2017 12:36 PM

No thanks. No showmance winning :nono:

A slimeball who's latched himself on to the most famous woman in the house but at least he went to the gym once

You have convinced me !!! Chad to win with Sarah second...

dyfed 19-08-2017 01:56 PM

I have to say chad speaks a lot of sense in there, more so then a lot of the older hm

Mrs B 19-08-2017 03:20 PM

I don't usually comment on posts as I believe in people's entitlement to their opinion. However, I'm amazed at some of the comments regarding whether Chad and Sarah are in a showmance. What if they are? What's the big deal? If you don't like it, change channels. Aren't there more important things going on in the world to be more concerned about? Chad is far from thick, degree or no degree. You can gauge someone's intelligence from their thought process and what they say. He is astute and has made more sense than most of the so called celebrities in the house.

RileyH 19-08-2017 05:07 PM

tl;dr

I don't want him to win anyways so..

Mystic Mock 19-08-2017 05:53 PM

I don't get why there is a thread justifying why you want Chad to win? I personally don't agree, but I'd rather a difference of opinion rather than someone just copying mine for the sake of it, and I'm sure that alot of people will agree with this statement.

I think personally that Housemates like Chad and Amelia are the reason why BB is dying a slow and painful death, but if you're having to open up a thread to justify yourself then you're not having much confidence in your beliefs imo.

Chad's whole purpose was to get into a Showmance, the show would just make him invisible on the highlights if he decided he wanted to be an actual BB Housemate.

Amy Jade 19-08-2017 06:00 PM

After reading the OP I like him less...
