PICTURES of a frighteningly thin NICOLE RICHIE on the beach shocked onlookers last year.

The Simple Life star had shrunk to such tiny proportions many worried for her health until she appeared to have gained a few pounds recently and was looking much healthier.

Which is why I was shocked to see these pictures.

Nicole's ribs looked painfully exposed as she walked around Sydney Zoo with boyfriend JOEL MADDEN.

The baggy dress may hide the rest of her figure, but she still looks on the skinny side.

Nicole, I think it's time you tucked into a tradional Aussie pie.

Did Nicole even have an ed? I thought she said she didnt.. :shrug: I think she looks around the same as she did a while ago, maybe a few pounds less (: I love her outfit! :love:

Its so sad to see someone looking this thin.

Whats it going to take to stop people from thinking that this type of thin is attractive?

To be brutally frank, if she wants to starve herself in order to get even more publicity then why stop her. If she's ill then she needs help but I wonder.

I think the girl is obviously ill - eating disorders are a serious mental health problem, and her saying "i'm ok" doesnt mean she hasnt got one. Experts that have studied her looks have all said she is basically wasting away and her body has now begun the process of consuming it's own muscle, but hey what would they know?

Anyone can clearly see shes ill and needs help, they shouldnt be taking photos of her they should be offering her help.

Your right Sunny, her saying "I'm fine I dont have an ED" doesnt mean she doesnt have one.

Look at her for god sake. She is rake thin, her chest bones are clearly visable and he looks ill.

I fear for the health of Nicole Richie I really do.

Why do people pretend to care?
If they cared that much they would not call her lollipop etc, which people on this forum have done.

Its great that people genuinly care, but she needs help, and nobody is giving it to her! Instead shes getting bashed.

She is getting bashed because of a different reason.....drink driving.

In my opinion Nicole needs help for her lack of weight. But the only person who can help her is herself.

I would genuinly like her to seek help for this before her body reacts

there are 2 different issues here Chrizzle - one her eating disorder the other her drink driving. Now it could be said that the 2 are linked but at some stage people have to accept responsibility for their own actions.

I do really feel for the girl with regards to her weight issues, it isnt easy battling an ED especially in the public eye being constantly scrutinized. Gaining weight slowly is the right way of doing it but like Kiz says this starts with her and her own choices about getting better.

I dont agree with people calling her names like you said Chris, it isnt nice and I wouldnt like someone to do it to one of my daughters if they were unwell.
