Extreme language

Some very relevant points made here. Enough is enough. People ere entitled to differing opinions without being personally attacked. |

You're being super PC, I can't relate. Real question from the link for me is why do so many PC righties hate freedom of speech? |
He's a know-it-all who simply has an opinion like everyone else, just a right-wing bore. Being a right-wing journalist does not a political expert make.

To me it means having the right to make a valid point but the wording used should not be intentionally designed to insult and offend. The increasing habit of some left-wingers to describe anyone with views different to theirs as nazis is agenda driven and as soon as people resort to that they have lost the argument. When a disagreement gets heated and/or when people feel under attack they may occasionally say something they wouldn't normally say, but that is not what I am talking about. It is the persistent use of this language and tactic to close down opposing views that most reasonable people have an issue with. |

If you can't beat them and all that. |

"What you just said is irrelevant but you should change what you said anyway cos I'm just -that- PC" |

Shouldn't that type of behaviour be challenged? What is your suggestion then? Should people either take it or avoid the confrontation (in other words keep it buttoned). |

If people don't want to be 'PC' then simply don't, but have the courage to use the correct terms for those views which could be as clearly defined as racist, sexist, prejudiced, bigoted or xenophobic as I feel that most 'PC' opinions could fall into one of those categories... and that's fine, just own it don't bleat about it :/

Innit, the Tories are far from being Nazis

''Since when have left wingers as a group been 'socially disadvantaged or discriminated against'? Since when have they been a marginalised group?'' Left wingers are for you now are not individuals from a cross section of society you have decided they are a banding of persons not socially disadvantaged or marginalised.... why? Obviously I don't agree with posters being referred to by those terms. |

It happens.People who criticise the extreme left or are anti mass immigration or pro freedom of speech are being labled Nazi/fascist/racist etc.Now of course it is anyones right to do this but throwing them around as insults to people with opposing political views really does dilute the actual meaning of these words. |
