British Jews considering move abroad due to increasing anti-semitism
http://news.sky.com/story/more-briti...-poll-10997052
I find this very sad as it would be a considerable loss to our country. Jewish people are generally hard working and high achievers and contribute a lot to this country. They assimilate well into Western society. I believe this increase in anti-semistism is coming mainly from the Muslim population and not something we should tolerate particularly from those who shout about the intolerance of Islam. I am sick of the double standards coming from these communities. I sincerely hope our government and everyone else will demonstrate a no tolerance policy on this and if push comes to shove put their backing behind those that have become a well respected part of our society. If someone has to go it certainly shouldn't be the Jews. |

Antisemitism is coming from the far-right. There is absolutely no question about that. The only place you see Jews against Muslims and Muslims against Jews is in Israel/Palestine... not here.
I find it fcuking unbelievable that you would remove the blame from the far-right for this and put it on Muslim shoulders... disgusting. |

Jews hatred against Muslims and vice versa are far from exclusive to Israel.

I'm not nearly informed on the subject enough to comment much but having been to London a lot recently - particularly areas of London that have a higher number of Jewish inhabitants - I've been quite surprised by how quiet it is. Perhaps just compared to the times I've stayed in the South/West of the city
But being from a rural part of the country, I guess I'd built up an idea that factions and local communities in London being so race-specific or religion-specific would sort of result in a prototype of Israel on a much smaller scale... not that I was expecting to have to head into London with a hard hat and some kevlar armour or anything, but I'm just from such a sheltered background that it seemed like that was a nightmare waiting to happen. That said, this 36% rise in antisemitic hate crime the past year mentioned in this article is alarming, so like I said, I can't really comment... but it seems curiously at odds with their other survey: Quote:

Here we go. Change the record! It has been reported that there has been anti-semitism coming from Muslims here - I didn't make it up off the top of my head. |

"However, a separate YouGov survey, carried out for the CAA, found that anti-Semitic attitudes in UK society, measured by how many respondents agreed with seven anti-Semitic statements, were declining, with the number of people who agreed with at least one statement down from 45% in 2015 to 36% in 2017."

We want to ramp up the rhetoric and spin to divert attention away from the real issues. |
The far-right absolutely detest Jewish people and everything they stand for. They've been their number 1 target for many decades, long before they jumped on the anti-muslim thing.
The right have always loved anyone they can make a scapegoat for their own failings. |
Yes Brillo
it is sad that some move to Israel They Gave up......... |
