How many votes..

Are typically cast for a final?

It’s my birthday on Saturday and I might just ask my family for money (but get it early on the Friday) so I can vote Jemma to win.. but how many times would I need to vote for it to be certain and how much would it be? :)

RileyH 23-08-2017 01:06 AM

just keep doing it over and over non stop (well until you lose money ) x

I'd hazard a guess it'll be somewhere around 80k, so for someone to win comfortably you're looking at about 30k? It's 50p a vote is it not? So I'd say about...£15,000 should cover it?

The only time recently I can remember them revealing the voting figures was after the 2014 final. Over 90,000 votes were cast just in the last nine minutes between lines re-opening for the final two and closing. Imagine how many votes were cast overall!

Assuming nowadays it's still anywhere near that figure, you'd need a lottery win rather than some birthday cash to influence the outcome

OKAY reading through them posts I sound SILLY but I should’ve said how many times would I need to vote to get ahead of Sarah

Imo the winner is hands down between Sarah and Jemma and I think it’ll be close so I need to vote big for Jemma

To be fair, you could make the assumption that a large majority of those 30k votes (or whatever the actual figure will be) will already have been made for you based on other Jemma fans, so the number you'd need to contribute would be significantly lower. You asked for a certainty though, and that's only possible if you give them all the votes they need yourself :joker:

Either way, if you were gonna contribute like 5,000 votes, it ain't gonna be cheap

RileyH 23-08-2017 01:38 AM

btw happy birthday for Saturday :cheer2:

Well I hope she wins and thanks for your insight, I genuinely thought I could ring about 100 times and guarantee her the win :joker:

bitontheslide 23-08-2017 06:57 AM

i could list at least 100 different ways of spending your birthday money, and voting for any reality contest wouldn't be on that list

Don't you think it's somewhat immoral wanting to "buy" a winner rather than submit to the democratic view of the shows fans. Obviously not, a nasty idea in support of a nasty HM.

Otaka 23-08-2017 08:26 AM

Jemma is in the running anyway with the anti Sarah votes just let things play out
