Updates on Frow (from DS)
Someone over at DS contacted Frow and here's what he got back.....
"The show is down 20% year on year and the cost means its now losing a lot of money." "The ball is firmly in the court of endemol/shine and what happens next is upto them" "instead of just saying 'its axed' either they improve the performance or cut even more from the budget" His keynote is later today so I'm sure we'll get the full story. Make or Break has also been recommissioned for a longer series next summer |
Hahahahahaha at them recommissioning Make or Break. It LITERALLY got 500k viewers a night so how can he complain about BB's ratings
|
Endemol need to be bloody good producers then don't they!
|
this could easily be the last BB UK episode
|
So what does this mean then? They'll see how CBB21 does before deciding on axing it / cutting the budget?
|
If they're so worried about the budget why not cut things like The Vault, and that forest one from last series, He'll from CBB19
Not pay like 100k for ****ing Grant what's his face Have less celebrities in each CBB - 19 was FAR too many Like they could easily cut the budget and if anything the show would actually improve |
Frow also said he doesn't not like BB, he just doesn't like how it takes up so much of his schedule.
Yet he insists on 3 series a year which nobody asked for |
Right what's Ben Frow's email I want to knock some bloody sense into him
|
I can see them maybe doing like a 40 day CBB In January and then a 40 day BB in summer
Takes up less of his previous schedule that he can now use to fill with more programmes about people on benefits |

if it stops being about a ???? fest and fake love - we have got a good game.
|
It LOOKS like what he's trying to do is keep BB but pay less for it, because he knows nobody else will want it so Endemol will have no choice but to give him it for cheaper

There's bigger fish to fry |
Does he have ANYTHING nice/good to say about the show? Rat :umm2:
|
To be fair if they are losing money it makes sense from a business point of view. I cant see it being around after next year and i also dont think any other channel with pick it up this time. Not for a good few years anyway.
|
Hopefully this means if they do renew it, summer CBB will no longer be a thing. That would be the logical thing to do if he thinks BB is too much money and takes up too much of the schedule, no?
|
Endemol aren't to blame here, it's Channel 5.

So they extend the flop Love Island rip-off???
CAHHHHHH you couldn't make it up! |

It is Channel 5 that have ruined big brother, they haven't looked after the show at all. If they are unhappy its declining its their own fault. Ive seens tons of fans expressing what they want to see or how they feel about the show on social media over the last few years so its not like people arnt telling them what they want/what they dont want. They just dont listen. The quality of the show has gone down hill and the producers are just lazy. Rehashing old tasks and back door evictions when they cant be bothered to hold an eviction show. Putting a reality star in civilian big brother then putting someone from the same show (just set in another country) into the celebrity series that takes place right after the civil. Its a mess.
|
Seriously? After all that he said about BB, he has renewed the failing LI rip-off? Is that the shiny future of your schedule, Ben?
