Favourite Game of Thrones 'episode 9'?

The penultimate episode of the season has always been used as the one with the big shocking moment of the season. Which has been your favourite?

S1, Baelor - Ned executed, Robb captures Jaime, Jorah & Dany protect dying Drogo
S2, Blackwater - The Battle of Blackwater, Stannis attacks King's Landing
S3, The Rains of Castamere - The Red Wedding, Jon escapes the Wildlings, Jorah & Daario invade Yunkai
S4, Watchers on the Wall - The Wildlings attack the Wall, Ygritte dies
S5, Dance of Dragons - Dany flies Drogon for 1st time, Melisandre burns Shireen, Jon bands NW & Wildlings together, Arya executes Meryn Trant
S6, Battle of the Bastards - Jon faces off against Ramsay at Winterfell, Dany & Dragons burn the slavers
S7, Beyond the Wall - Jon & Crew kidnap a Wight, Night King kills Viserion & Reanimates him

Same for me.

It may also have helped that I actually didn't know what was going to happen in this one because it had passed the books, I wonder would my opinions have been different otherwise

Battle of the Bar Stewards by a nose over S1, just because I'm a sucker for a battle scene.

S1 has to be right up there for anyone who hadn't read the books and didn't know anything about them... everyone totally thinking Sean Bean was the "main guy" for this show and then... :omgno:. It was the moment where you realised that this was a very different sort of show :joker:. Red Wedding obviously also a huge moment.

6 > 1 > 3 > 4 > 7 > 2 > 5

7 would probably have been higher but it was just so... scattered all over the place. Not very cohesive. I reckon they should have stuck with the guys adventure north of the wall like glue, no external scenes EXCEPT the "she's not here..." one at Dragonstone leading directly into Dany's arrival north of the wall. Also, when it's lined up against ep 4 and the finale, it's noticeably not of the same quality.

That was the most shocking thing in the books for me. The Chapter was from Aryas POV and she turned her head just as Ned was going to be beheaded so I actually was convinced that because she didn't actually see it that somehow it didn't really happen, i was convinced of it for ages  So then when "Bran and Rickon" were killed by Ramsay and Theon I 100% believed it because of the Ned death, well played GRRM
